His taunt skill is a much better skill, though he doesn't have Guts to go along with it. His NP Seal is also good if you can level it up enough to hit with it.
Moral of the interlude: Cú is still best lancer of the game and is really fond of going shirtless for some reason (and to my delight). Perhaps is just him being a man of the people as always and providing the manservice only him and Achilles seem to provide
I have a rather funny story about Benkei's interlude. I already made a post about this on r/grandorder, so I'mma paste this here lol So I did Benkei's Interlude to get the SQ Reward in preparation for my 150th Login Bonus and do one multi-roll. For Immersion, I always bring the spotlight servant in their interludes and give myself some personal achievements, like keep the spotlight servant alive all throughout, have the spotlight servant kill the last enemy, or finish the battle with the spotlight servant's NP, etc. For Benkei, I decided that he would invoke his NP through all three stages of his interlude as well as get the last hit on EVERY enemy. Now it's very interesting how his interlude unfolded. The general gist of it is that Benkei wants to train and went to the simulator with Mash and me to fight mock servants, but as always things go haywire and we now have to fight Mock servants which are almost the same strength as a REAL servant by the end of the interlude, so there's a difficulty spike that was implied. And BY GOD DID THE DIFFICULTY SPIKE HARD in the gameplay due to the setup I brought! Right, so the first two nodes went as expected - We fought Cu, Leonidas, and Lancelot in the first node and Caster Gilles, Hans, and Medea in the second. We blazed through those as I have brought good counter servants (plus I had managed to get MOST last hits by Benkei). Then I saw the third node's enemies - Archer and Saber. By this time in the story, the simulator went haywire and is spawning rogue mock servants. I KNOW in my heart that Gilgamesh will appear as an enemy, so I brought in Nobunaga and a support Orion - both archers so I can counter that Saber. And this is where the challenge begins. First enemy was.... EMIYA. FCK, NOT THIS GUY!, I screamed. So now I gotta take down this guy fast, but RNG decides it would be FUNNY to screw around with the cards I get and got mostly quicks and arts and GOODNESS GRACIOUS it was fcking PAINFUL. Even Orion's Anti-Male-Scum Skills didn't do as much to off the motherfcker! This guy also used Evade before he blasts his NP, so I tried Benkei's NP to counter it and stun him. But of ALL THE TIMES that the Stun didn't work, it's NOW. FUUUUUUUCK! And so the bastard was actually able to pull off TWO UBWs before finally biting the dust after 8 FCKING TURNS, but holysht Benkei actually survived BOTH times without BUFFS. Dude was tough. Let's skip the second fight (which was an Arturia, but Orion and Nobunaga made quick work of her. Nobu died tho and was replaced by my Lancelot :{ ), and move on to the third where - sure enough - Gilgamesh stands waiting in his smug-ass pose. By this time, Benkei is close to dying (and remember that I wanna keep my spotlight servants alive) and so I was literally at the edge of my seat trying to figure out how to kill this 66,175 HP bastard. Nobu's gone, and Orion's skills are in cooldown, so it's really up to Benkei's class advantage to do most of the work. Gil hits hard and targets Benkei constantly, but he MANAGED TO SURVIVE LIKE A BOSS, once again without buffs! My goal now is to NOT let Gil fire his OP-as-fck NP and he's ONE TURN AWAY from doing so, but once more, Benkei and his brave chain saves the day - Fired up Five-Hundred-Arhat, missed the stun (INSERT GROAN AND "NOOOOO" HERE) and then CRITS GALORE, and Gil was down. NOT TODAY, ASSHOLE, FCK YOU AND YOUR EA! Really, if only I hadn't leveled up Benkei for this he probably wouldn't survive any of this lol And that's how I unexpectedly got myself a challenge from an unexpected place in this game, and godDAMN was that fun. All the tension, rooting for Benkei of all people, and overall it just all felt SOOOO SATISFYING. You might not be the real Benkei, but MAD RESPECT to you you magnificent bastard! Living up to the legend of the mighty Musashibou Benkei!

I have a question for you: My Cù Chulainn has finally reached level 100 and I only have 135 servant coins for him. What's best, an append skill or going further than level 100? If it's the former, which append skill
Extra for general use though anti Berserk if your account lacks other good zerk counter since his hard survival could really make him extremely solid lancer to deal with zerks like fluffy
This. If you're going to get the best out of Benkei (or really, any servant), you need to get his skills to a high enough level that they will have their effect. Especially since Benkei is one of the few servants that can shut down Goetia's front-line-wiping first-round attack.
