If you want your head specifically to be as shiny as possible then you should use V.3 O'Keefe as a preset. Ayre has a light value of 5 across the board, meanwhile O'Keefe has 6 on his head and 2 (default) on every other part.
I would still recommend checking Zullie for exact stats on some AC shematics. As you might want only your eyes shine, then O'Keeffe, as his head peace has 6 which is even higher than Ayre with 5, but all other lights has 2 like standard design or you want to disable most lights then Hawkins with 0 everywhere except 2 on his head
I believe their intention was to protect other player’s hard work in crafting complex paint schemes, emblems, and decal setups, but for some reason also applied this to NPC ACs.
I would've liked that From Software added colors for the thrusters for the flames when using thrusters like have Blue Flames, Green Flames. When you fly any color you want to use for your flames.
The color of the flames outputted by your thrusters is dictated by your generator. Coral generators output red, EN-focused generators output blue, and regular generators output orange.
I just wish we could change the brightness of our ac's lights normally instead of having to do some time-consuming glitch to do so I just feel like it would save us a lot of time tbh
More specifically, the brightness of the lights can be 0-9, with no AC even going to 7 or higher if I recall, with only Dolmayan, O'Keeffe, and Pater getting 6 on their heads specifically. ECHO, which NG++, is the only one with brightness values above 2, the default, on all parts, specifically at 5 as another comment stated. So yeah, ECHO's really popular for this, but if you specifically want the head to look as bright as possible, those three exist. There's a video by Zullie that covers this and shows the 16 AC schematics that change the values even slightly, like Nightfall having 4 for the head.
would be really nice if From would fix this so I don't have to redo all my insanely detailed decals. or if they provided a way to copy decals for a given part from a given AC Data onto another build. unfortunately to copy decals over you have to start from the AC Data with the decals on it, which I did not think to use Ayre for. FML.
Could you elaborate on what you meant by "moving decals"? Removing the edit lock strips all the decals off of a downloaded AC. I really hope the light brightness just gets patched in as a "material" setting. Having to rebuild and redo all the custom decal work on an AC just to adjust the brightness is way too much of a hassle.
When you go in to change colors it says it will remove everything if you go in. Go in and then back out and choose discard changes, after that you can go in again and it works now.
When you wouldn't mind having brighter lights on your AC but you really don't want to have to reapply the dozens of decals you put on each part. Feels bad.
Hey boro, i have a question: have you tried something that could be described as a "grasshopper knight"? im trying to make something that uses sword and shield with Zemmi and laser drone on a reverse joint leg frame but idk how to close it together on the pieces, any help?
What sorta stuff needs to "close together" on that sorta build? You've picked most of the weapons and have the concept down (a concept I think is cool - my AC was "Angry Grasshopper" for much of the game). (I'm guessing "Zemmi" means Zimmerman.) This build sounds like a lightweight focused on CQC, with the laser drones to maintain pressure from a distance. The shield limits melee options, because it locks you out of dual melee. Reverse-joints encourage quick-boosts to maintain mobility; a pulse buckler will provide good IG defense to cover you when the boost ends. The pulse blade has good direct damage and impact, meaning a two-hit combo will stagger on the first hit and get direct damage on the second. The Zimmerman can set that up with a couple shots at close-range. If you want to apply more pressure at a distance then a handgun may be a nice replacement. Choosing the other frame parts is just about supporting the things you've chosen. I've found the Firmeza frame is a solid starting point. If you can fit that on Kasuar legs then they're the jumpiest choice, with Mind Beta (balanced) and Spring Chicken (most stable) providing a higher load limit. Firmeza arms fit the balanced profile you need, since while Bashos could do more melee damage they would have trouble tracking targets in CQC with your shotgun. I'd stick with the Firmeza core, but Nachtreiher is good as long as your EN output can manage it (generator output adjustment sucks). The head comes last, and it fills in gaps within the build. I'd take something with good stability, and in this meta system recovery is quite useful. So why not splurge with the VE-44B? For internal parts you mainly want a generator that can run it and an close-range FCS. Boosters favoring quick-boost will work quite well. I just threw together an example AC, though this one uses a handgun. To fit a Zimmerman you'd need a different head, and the HAL (or anything in the VP-44 series) fits. I've missed the ideal quick-boost weight limit by a little bit, but I think that's an acceptable price. If you're on PC then this is the share code: TQZA1EAJ45F9
@@onyxtay7246 this is just what I was needing a second opinion, a lot of good suggestions, didn't considered swapping the Basho arms but it make sense since the shotgun is still a key part of it's combat flow, so thanks for this help mate.
Does this stay in effect if I load one of my own presets? Or do I need to rebuild from the Ayre model? PS The HAL helmet looks INSANELY cool when the light is boosted. Like it's overflowing with coral.
But what about all the ac I already made ? How do I take those paint jobs from them and parts I just wanna make the light bright on what I made already not restart from ayre

@@cridus_ It oozes sarcasm. it comes off as something like "you made an effort to do something nice for everyone. We do have blue flames. Just use an electric generator
I just gotta pay more attention.

I just did the same thing today cuz I watched another vid explaining this, and wanted to try this immediately. It looks soo good!!
