  • J.D. Simo on a 1961 Gibson SG Jr through a late '61/early '62 Fender Vibrolux! Don't let the single P-90 fool you, this guitar has quite a few tricks up its sleeve! Give us a call or email for more information on either the guitar or the amp. And please be sure to check out J.D. and the band SIMO!

      If you read the comments on TH-cam videos you'll learn that David Gilmore* is the greatest guitar player ever...No one else, in any genre, comes close. So say his ardent fans.
      *Yes, I know it is spelled 'Gilmour'. Apparently scads of people who love and worship him are unaware of that fact.

    Ok...so, this video is over 4 years old, yet I'm still compelled to comment. I've viewed all of JD's Carter demo videos (archived and current, as I'm sure many of you have). Is it me, or is his playing on THIS particular demo a little more 'inspired' (and yes, aggressive) than his typical level of sheer awesomeness???

      Matt Evans I'm sure there are many with bigger juevos, old men, women, small children, it's about three or four grand, and those were played by idiots , so were safe as a deposit box

    • @gregormcclung
      @gregormcclung 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      A weak guitar deserves to be broken. Guitars are instruments and should be handled and played, not pieces of art work on the wall to be admired from afar.

    • @Dagger_323
      @Dagger_323 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The neck would be a lot more likely to break due to the string tension than those subtle shakes JD does to it. I have an SG and do this all the time to it. It’s perfectly fine.

    • @auntjenifer7774
      @auntjenifer7774 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The neck joint has held up just fine for the past 50-60 years thus far so I dont think there's any thing to worry about with playing the guitar aggressively🤣

    • @johnspokus
      @johnspokus 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For that matter how do you intonate an acoustic guitar ? You don't, and it's still pretty much spot on.

    • @Dagger_323
      @Dagger_323 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Is the part about adjusting the action meant to be serious..? Do you not see the two giant adjustment posts on either side of the wrap-around bridge?
