It’s great to see a video with some positive feedback based on 10k miles. Got a 3rd gen 5 ft bed and wish I got the long bed for work. Keep the vids coming!
I got leather seats in my 2024 tacoma offroad from the dealership for an additional 1,700. My complaints - the MPG (with 35s, city is 15mpg and highway maybe 18mpg), front seat move ability options limited, and parking I feel like I got a dualie - like you said the bigger tires stick out quite a bit. Pretty shallow complaints, I love the truck overall. It feels bigger than older Tacomas, I love the turbo, the rear bed lights, MTS functions - handles well in sand dunes, crawl mode, and 4H trailing have no resistance. For aftermarket addons - what's up with these bed racks, overland racks, camper tops.. outrageous prices and lead times.
@@petey2time732 lmfao I’m getting the same MPG on a V8 tundra with way more power and torque. I’ve got just about everything you can put on it and it still rips up the mountains even smoking 4Runners and Tacomas on I70. Good luck getting to 150k with your turbo
I’ve got a second gen, lifted with huge Mickey Thompson tires, stepsides. It was very sluggish. But I got a Pedal Commander and it’s great! Lots of power!
Forget this new overpriced taco, what ever happened to the 3rd gen turbo kit? I was so excited for that to be finished and I feel like it just fell to the wayside when the new taco come out, did I miss something? You have a huge market of people who would love that kit!!!
Putting a turbo on a truck is around 10k at minimum. Lots of fab work. And that’s if the engine works well with the turbo. Most of the time you have to rebuild the engine to work with the turbo. So your talking 15-20k to add a turbo. And it’s got no warranty. No support. No anything other than you or your mechanic figure out the problems that you will likely have cause it’s an aftermarket turbo kit you fabbed onto an engine it wasn’t designed for. And that is all just to get it running correctly. And it ain’t gonna last 200k anymore. Cause Toyota didn’t build it in an immaculate factory with specialty people assembling and inspecting each part. And you wonder why everyone isn’t throwing turbo kits on 3rd gen’s. 😂
@@Annon89 they were in the process of making a turbo kit and announcing it as they went on and they just stopped. I never said anything about price or reliability or the amount of work I am well aware of that’s haha my post is wondering why they completely stopped working on it and talking about it. Could very well be the reasons you mentioned but they seemed like they were going strong and then we never heard anything about it again. Like I said I understand what you are saying, it just doesn’t have anything to do with what I was saying really unless they just threw in the towel for reason similar to what you mentioned. But I don’t think anyone who is running turbo kits on their NA trucks is concerned about having the reliability be the same and obviously snails are expensive and require some work that’s a given. All I was saying is I hope they didn’t throw in the towel on what would have been super cool 🫡
When people say it has more power let’s compare force induction to force induction Supercharged second and third generation Magnuson or pro charger. I think that’s the fair comparison
All you can do is laugh at the old guard tacoma fans who keep complaining about the 4th gen. I came from a 2nd and then 3rd gen and the 4th gen is miles better than either. Way more power and way more fun to drive. I took mine on the trail here on kaua'i and I'm going places i never could on my 3rd gen taco. Live with it fellas and stop crying
Do you have a 3rd gen Tacoma? Why don’t you make some videos about it and quit whining. Most of the stuff he’s doing with the 4th gen is applicable to any generation of taco, hell, anyone interested in building an off-roading rig regardless of make or model can get something of value here. The pointless crying about how “nobody likes the new Tacoma” is getting old bud. Plenty of folks do. There’s around 100,000 of them sold already.
@@m.687 it’s like arguing that a 5.7L hemi is better than a 3.8L flat six because it has more cylinders 😂. Try driving one before you pass judgement friend. It’s actually a very nicely driving powertrain, and it’s not overstressed either. The taco is a small truck… it doesn’t need a big motor.
@OceansideCreations it does, took it offroading plus 2 hours from mild to moderate terrain, and it didn't struggle a bit. It handles rocky hilltops like a champ.

How has your turbo been since lifting and adding the 35s plus extra weight? Do you see it putting out more or relatively the same?

What model Tacoma do you have?
Where did you take it tho?
Mpg doesn't matter really
Way more power but goes .4 seconds faster 0-60
@Ww8.3 they have the same horsepower but the added 50 lb-ft of torque at 1700 really makes it feel fast.
Thanks for the update 😊
Cool boots bro- what are those you’re rocking?
Do A review every 10k miles.
When did you do the oil change? 5k or toyotas recmmendation 10k?
Is it worth it trading in ?
Yeah buddy ✌️💪
Towing with 35 is not the way to go.
Bought a driver seat cover first thing.
What are those wheels?
any one have an air damn they no longer want? please let me know!
Take the $8k and buy Schel-mann seats
4th gen Tacoma owners got robbed of cab space.

4th gens are stacking up on dealer lots. Nobody wants the downgraded truck with the jacked up price tag.
@@m.687 how is this new truck downgraded in any way from the previous gen?
@@kevinbradley8613 Most obvious reason is the puny 4 cylinder engine that noone asked for.
@@m.687 it’s a better motor. A 2.4L turbocharged engine isn’t exactly puny either. It makes way more torque, and easily too.

4th gen taco turning radius is horrible. Plus no cab space. Longer wheels base = high center when offroading. This one is a pass 😊
