For those who haven’t seen it:
So basically they live in a world and in this world it is split into 12 districts, and from each district one male and one female is chosen to represent in the hunger games for survival. In this case Katniss’s little sister Prim, was chosen in the games. Katniss being the amazing sister she is stands up for prim and volunteers so prim doesn’t have to compete. Pls go watch the movie and read the books cus they are truly amazing ❤❤

it didn't hit me before, but this all started because katniss wanted to save Prim, and she is still gone at the end
yeah..but if you think about it, maybe still Prim did go, but at least thanks to Katniss she got to live a few extra years

it all started for prim's life,it ended for her death
The odds of this timeline happening are like 1/10000 because Prim only put her name in once, whereas Gale put it in lots more. It begs the question, if Prim wasn’t chosen, would the rebellion still happen? Or would Katniss and Gale run into the woods like it said in chapter 1?

theres a theory about this. katniss always thought that she and gale were unwatched when they hunted in the woods, but the capitol is always watching and snow recognized her spirit. he thought she would be a threat in the future, now with the ballad of songbirds and snakes, we see that katniss most likely reminded him of lucy gray. so he rigged the reaping so that prim would be drawn, and katniss’s spirit would be crushed. didnt exactly go as planned.

Even though it is heart wrenching for her to go through the hunger games (twice), go and not know if the peacekeepers or hunger had gotten to her family or not. it was a start for Katniss’s journey to free the district for everyone she loves and would soon love.

Man the fact that Prim was only 12 and everyone else competing was like the same age as Katniss
Well not everyone, Rue was 12, but older kids get picked more often, in career districts they usually volunteer, and even in the other districts their names are in more often, but yeah 12-18 seems like a weird age range, youngest who ever won was 14, and that only happened once, 15+ every other time. But perhaps the unfairness serves to make the show more interesting, and serve the capitals purpose better since young kids are more likely to be selected in poor families than wealthy ones due to tesserae or whatever the name was.
For anyone who hadn’t seen or heard of the Hunger Games, Basically it’s a book turned into a movie where there are districts numbered 1-12, each year the capital (Where rich people live) Randomly selects 2 children aged 12-18 from each district to compete in the Hunger games, They have to fight to the death and only one can win. So anyway the little girl, Primrose (Blonde hair) Gets picked so her sister Katniss (With the
brown hair) volunteers to go instead of her because she knows she would die! Hope that explains it ITS A GREAT MOVIE AND BOOK I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!

She would have been a ruthless villain, she would do ANYTHING for her sis, and after her death she would want revenge, do anything in revenge, and eventually kill Gale cause he sent the bomb that sent off the other and killed prim.
gale didnt send the bomb, he unknowingly created the bomb, not realising what it was going to be used for. coin sent the bomb, and katniss did kill coin, getting her revenge. she would never kill gale, she ended their friendship but that is the most of it. and gale would never have killed prim, he was trying to protect her for katniss. HE DIDNT KNOW WHAT THE BOMB WAS GOING TO BE USED FOR DONT FREAKING BLAME HIM.
@taylorswifte Gale created the trap, and murdered innocent capital children. If katniss was a villain she would have been so filled with revenge, anger and would absolutely stop at nothing to get revenge. She killed Coin and she doesn't really talk to gale anymore. Gale was being selfish and there was no need for the bombs. He also didn't know it was gonna hurt prim, if he knew he wouldn't do it, but it was his concept and waa willing TO KILL INNOCENT CHILDREN. GALE IS NO BETTER THAN SNOW!
But ur edit was good. Its sad she went through that just for 1-3 year later to die. Not hating u or the edit.
He knew the plan but didn't know prim was going. My point is he still killed children knowingly, but accidentally killed prim.
