She did a good job for her first ever talk show. You can tell she's nervous which clearly indicates she's being herself which is great.
I think i was nervous cuz i have seen the netflix preview of Wednesday multiple times and was waiting for something good to come on netflix for a while. i have seen her before in Netflix You s2. Also another great series.

I love watching her in interviews because you can tell that Hollywood hasn't ruined her yet. She's still down to earth and almost shy at times, unlike other Hollywood stars and starlets who are almost robotic in tone. She's what Hollywood needs, spontaneity.

I went to middle school with her and she would hang out with only 2 girls pretty much n people knew she was an actress but as she said I think no one thought she’d be as big as she is now, I’m proud of her tho she deserves it!!

Hollywood does have a creepy obsession with female youth. So this would be expected. What Id like to see is stories about women in their 40s-50s who aren’t moms. That would be different. Getting tired of the grooming process and teen obsession. It’s creepy. It’s why most men think we die off after 35. It’s the same in music. The best musicians are women in their 40s -50s, but everyone is obsessed is what teens and creepy dudes like.
Problem is the horror genre doesn't really rule Hollywood. But she is very promising.

All celebs have media training - it's not some nefarious brainwashing thing lol. It's basically just going over what to avoid talking about in interviews, how to interact on social media, how to walk a red carpet, how to deal with paps, etc. If people are finding her or other celebs as "not media trained", then their teams needs to get a raise because that's pretty much the ultimate goal for a client - have them media trained, but have people go out of their way to compliment them on how they're not media trained lol. It's almost the same way people like to think Aubrey Plaza has no media training lmao. Her media training is to just stay weird/funny/awkward in interviews because that's her brand that sells, with notes on what topics to avoid and maybe what constitutes as "too far".

Jenna Ortega literally started her career from the bottom and climbed through the whole ranks and obstacles one by one, year by year. She's also very mature for her age, even years before now and we saw her tackle interviews with humility and authenticity.

That’s why all The Addams Family films are classics, because even though they are all “out there characters”, “strange” and “mysterious”... there’s inner struggles that we all can relate to.

Christina Ricci is a tough act to follow for Wednesday Addams. I think the fact that EVERYBODY is excited to see Jenna take on the role shows they cast EXACTLY the right person :)

The fact is that you can see it too, but aren't willing to admit that. That's what's "Sad".

And I don't doubt that some productions are pressured into it. I see it when it's ham-fisted!!
But to say that in this case, the only reason she was cast is because she's Mexican, I think ignores all the other qualities that make her such a good fit for the role. To be completely honest, I think it also ignores a lot of marketing forces which also make her a good choice from a business point of view.
Does what you're describing happen? Yes, I have no doubt and see evidence of it. Is that the only explanation for Jenna Ortega being cast as Wednesday Addams? I do not think it is.
That was a really great first late night. He kind of rushed through parts and interjected, but she did a great job moving things along and responding genuinely. Really enjoyed her as Wednesday. The casting was great

With all due respect, we don’t know how she actually is or whether she is truly the Wednesday character or not. We would have to personally know her in order to affirm such a thing, so we shouldn’t act like we are best friends with celebrities.
I agree. He had a golden opportunity to showcase this woman’s mind, reveal the processes she has, what she thought to bring to the role, and how she came to those decisions. Her performance in the series is Award winning.

She's so down to earth. I really hope Hollywood doesn't change her. Doesn't seem to have so far. But she just starred in one of the biggest Netflix series of all time and one of the most reprised roles. And she CRUSHED it. So it's just the beginning for her.
Jenna's so young in her career and she's already navigated it so well. Plus she's staying grounded through it. Respectful, humble, witty, down to earth.
And the use of her platform for constant human rights advocacy. All at 20yo.
I grew up with her on Disney, we're both the same age and it's just amazing to see how she's grown as an actress, and how her opportunities are getting bigger. Looking forward to seeing her act along side big names

From when I saw her on “You” my husband and I felt like she was gonna be huge. It’s been a while since there’s been a truly great actress especially from this newer generation. Most are from older generations. I think there’s a lot more untapped potential in her and truly eager to see how her career plays out. I love seeing her on my screen and love that latina representation that does not put us in a stereotype

The highlight of the whole season for me was the friendship between Wednesday & Enid, both Jenna and Emma gave beautiful performances, they had such great chemistry & nailed their respective characters! I really hope we get a season 2 because there's so much more to tell about these two! Oh, and congrats to Jenna on her Golden Globe nom!

Hollywood needs more Jenna's. Here's hoping she isn't poorly influenced by producers or agents to be something she isn't. She's a pint-sized dynamo. Energetic but at the same time well grounded. I’ve been watching Jenna In Movies and Shows for years now, And it’s so great that she’s finally getting the recognition she deserves she’s such an Amazing Person and Actress, her future is very bright and I can’t wait to see what she does next :)
I'm making the rounds through the interviews with Ms. Ortega after finishing S1 of "Wednesday". Great show, and she does an amazing job, as does the whole cast. She's very likeable here too, and seems grounded. Of course, the show hadn't dropped yet, but hopefully she avoids the normal child-star pitfalls. Great interview!!
It might be because it's her very first late night show interview but she's really down to earth and it's pretty cool.
Give her time, Hollywood will degrade her and destroy her soul unfortunately.

You can see that she is a little bit awkward but also ver sweet I didn't knew that cause I usted to watch her in her Disney show and she was very outgoing an extrovert in that one.
I'm glad she is succeeding in the business, she did really good in Scream earlier this year.

Her performance as Wednesday was perfect and also the writing for the show was amazing . Great show lets hope for many more seasons.
What I truly love about Jenna is that she may not know how truly popular the show is and she genuinely seems so down to earth and humble. I’ve seen other interviews with some of the other cast members and they have such good chemistry among themselves. Can’t wait for the new season to start.🖤🖤🖤💁🏽♀️🙌🏽

Honestly her first movie role was in the little rascal and then I remember her Disney sitcom stuck in the middle which I thought it was pretty cool. She also was in the TV Netflix series you, she was a part of the scream franchise and she's also returning to scream, she's definitely going to blow up I feel like she could be the female version of Denzel Washington
