Drake, Loved the video and commentary, have also been following you since 2018 just after your Tour of the Hilltowns Cat 5 win, and Mt. Washington 2nd place finish. Good luck with all your endeavors, it's been fun watching.
You have the Rower's Heart Rate Drake. There is gal here on Maui who was a collegiate rower. Her Cycling Heart Rate had crazy low numbers. Lowest I have ever seen for what she was pushing. That is a great pace with huge power numbers my friend. Your ability to blend your physical and thought process in a balance is obvious listening to your words. At 22 there is lots of good ahead for you Drake.
Nice video Drake. Been following you off and on since we raced the Tokeneke Classic together in 2018. And by together I mean you rode off the front of the Cat 5 race and finished with the Cat 4 guys. Awesome to see your progression, good luck with everything in the future!
Dude my best time is like 40 something mins. But I’m almost 60 and 200 lbs. 😂. I disagree about people saying it’s demotivating. I find it inspires me to ride. Well done !!
I think we raced DOWN this road in 1985 when I was a junior. Nest Mountain road race. 7 miles up. 7 miles down, x 2 laps. The upward portion was Mulholland and Stunt Rd. Good work, young man.
@@DrakeDeuel Do you know the backstory on his local KOMs? Thorfinn Sasquatch (on Strava) was found to be hopped-up on EPO after testing positive at Masters Natz. Phil retired right around this time and took it upon himself to target each of Thorfinn's KOMs. And the rest is history.
It has a safety feature enabled called the “height floor” where it won’t go below 8 feet, so higher than anyone else on the road most like. It’s also very good at avoiding obstacles, but it does make me a little nervous still.

Savage! Great effort. What distance setting did have for tracking the rear? 1, 2, or 3? Thinking of getting this for moto content on my channel, thanks in advance.
This was set on the closest distance setting. I’m planning on trying out further away for future videos though, as I think it would be cool to get more context in the shot.

Definitely the rim brake version of that SuperSix Evo would be faster up Piuma. It’s just a balance of weight/aero though, nobody is making modern aero rim brake bikes
Awesome work! And to think I'm pleased with myself doing this at half the watts and half the speed :-) By the way, what software did you use to stick the head unit data onto the video?
@@DrakeDeuel haha. Companies like Garmin are never great at software -- don't get me wrong as I have, like, and constantly use a pile of Garmin devices -- but as a very experienced software guy (decades as a AAA video game lead programmer, entrepreneur etc) I always find the software janky at best.
