I remember years ago listening to Talksport Jesse getting a raise to 100k week and nearly spitting my coffee out. Stole a living all his life.

Having lived in Madrid for a long time I can say that Simon is spot on about unbelievable respect and love for Steve McManaman, while Bale is despised.

Until about 5 years ago MLS has this fake it till you make it attitude and tried to pretend they were what they clearly aren’t a top 5 league in the world and that’s where a lot of criticism (justifiably imo) came/comes from. Now they’ve realized they need to become a selling league and can be a bridge for young players from across the world to places like England and Germany. Developing a few players at DC United and selling them on is good for Wayne’s resume as a coach.
