Hi I’m working in healthcare industry and I have done my bachelors in computer science(India). I would like to pursue Health Informatics in USA. Is it possible??
Hello, I am based in Canada so I am not able to answer from a US perspective. However, some general skills for health informatics role include: -Knowledge of SQL programming language to query relational databases. -Experience with visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, etc.… -Experience working with large clinical datasets including manipulating, maintaining, preparing data, and presenting analyses and reports for different audiences. -Ability to work both independently and in teams
Hello, I'm a 44 year old US Veteran living in Vegas. I currently have a Computer Science degree (obtained back in 2018). I have no Health IT experience or education of any fashion. I'm looking to get into Health Informatics.
One option might be to get experience in an IT help desk role at a hospital to get relevant clinical experience and transition into a health informatics role or obtain a degree in health informatics. Some roles in the health informatics field include: business intelligence analyst, systems analyst, reporting analyst and/or clinical analyst might be a good fit if you are interested in this area.
