- Aviation video @ Kelly Field/Lackland Air Force Base (KSKF/SKF)! Filmed on 2/16/22, this features a local training exercise between the local 182nd Fighter Squadron F-16s and the Draken aggressor aircraft. Draken is stationed at Kelly to play the adversary role normally with their L-159 Honey Badgers. However, on these particular days Draken sent some of their A-4 Skyhawks to participate in their adversary role as well. Normally, these Skyhawks would be stationed at other Draken locations such as Kingston in North Carolina. This first part features the morning sorties of the day.
The 149th Fighter Wing (149 FW) is a unit of the Texas Air National Guard, stationed at Kelly Field Annex, Joint Base San Antonio, Texas. It is an F-16 flying training unit that includes a support group with a worldwide mobility commitment. The cornerstone of the 149th’s flying mission is the 182nd Fighter Squadron, whose role is to take pilots, either experienced aircrew or recent graduates from USAF undergraduate pilot training, and qualify them to fly the F-16 Fighting Falcon.

Always good to see an A-4 Skyhawk flying! That camo paint scheme was unique and good looking too!
they painted over the RNZAF A-4k markings :c
Pretty sure by the aerial configuration that is one of the Ole rnzaf kahu scooters. Love the a4k
fantastic footage great looking A-4,last week A-4's from Top Aces were flying out of Raf Lakenheath just last week flying with Lakenheath based F-15E's & F-35's
9:51 Not exactly a Saab 35 Draken.
Great video! Sharp quality & great sound.
Thank you very much!!
16b/d are such goofy birds :)
Have you seen ac 331 the 149th Heritage Camo Jet recently? Have you seen any other Draken ac beside the honey badgers or Skyhawks?
The heritage bird has been recently flying and is at the Laredo 2023 show as a static display (only today 26 FEB 2023). As for the Draken aircraft, so far they've only sent the Honey Badgers and Skyhawks. I'm hoping they can eventually send some of their F-1s.
Yes that’s what I was hoping for, would love to see the F-1’s! I go by the transient ramp maybe every other week just to see what’s coming through. Did you see the flight test f-16’s a while back? Orange tails!
I heard Draken lost the contract for USAF Adversary training at nellis. So I wonder if they’ll stick around at JBLackland.
@@nammer11martinez18 I don't think their contract at Kelly will get affected. & I did see the QF-16s (orange tails) but couldn't see them depart unfortunately.
great video
