I've had dengue only once but heard there are people that got it 4 times. Can't imagine what he'd gone through... Well at least he is completely immune now.

Papaya leaf extracts are also used here in India for Dengue patients.

My platelet count was 22,000. I took peoples advice of "wait it out"...4 days later I almost died (anything under 20,000 is blood transfusion and possibly death). DO NOT WAIT IT OUT!

I just had dengue in Malaysia. I wanted to point out that the Papaya extract doesn't have any solid medical backing from what I could find. It's a more likely coincidental improvement for you because I had a terrible night as well where ironically my platelets magically rose 20k when it had been slowly dropping for 8 days yet I didn't change my diet. The human body just works that way it seems. The best method is to avoid getting it in the first place, and second is staying extremely hydrated and under the best medical care you can find. I guess I want to point out that it's better to be under an IV with a doctor looking after you than wasting time running around trying to find Papaya extract. Time is incredibly important here, so maybe make the local "home remedies" a secondary approach ONLY after you've received primary care. PAY THE MONEY, SEE A DOCTOR.

I was in Kenya recently, got severe dengue with internal bleeding from the stomach, then bleeding from my gums. My plates went down to 3 and was very critical i was rushed to emergency and got plates transfusion it took 2 days for my plates to reach 40. Stayed totally 5 days in the hospital and was flown back to Sweden, still recovering.

meddy mohamed are you better now? I just got the Dengue Fever 4 days ago in Peru. I am watching symptoms very closely and will go to the doctor if I get any bleeding. Do you have any recommendations?

    • @meddymohamed1707
      @meddymohamed1707 7 ปีที่แล้ว

Melly Stubbs : Hi, sorry. Dont wait go see the doctor so they can check your bloodplates, cause you could have internal bleeding without knowing it, suddenly you can see blood when going to toilet.

This is a great explanation. I had a mosquito borne virus last year that I caught. Attacked my kidneys. I was flown back to the uk with a doctor on oxygen. I am still in recovery but talk about it on my TH-cam channel. I didn't go to the hospital straight away mine went too far

I did just come out of the hospital after my platelets dropped dangerously low to 24. Had to have a transfusion and all of the shebang. A bit hard to get back into the swing of things, but we gotta do what we gotta do!

Hi! that was a very good informative video, but one thing you should have mantioned was endemic areas where there is a higher risk of dengue fever.
I mean, if you present with similar sympthoms but you visited France or Italy it is unlikely you have got it.

I got meningitis i n my 20's and thought that it was the worst thing ever .Dengue sounds like it's the same amount of fun.I'm hoping my 100% deet will keep my safe as i don' know about long pants in that weather.I really do hope that you never contract this again you seem to have had more than your fair share of issues.

I've traveled extensively in many Asian countries 8x Thailand, 2x Myanmar (Burma), Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Africa, India, and never got Dengue. I don't believe we need to worry about it- just take the proper precautions. Long sleeve pants and shirt sleeves if your not recently deet covered. Just be smart about it and use the deet spray. Spray hat and socks if you use them. -Davy

Davy Boy I just got it after being bitten in my beach home in Peru. I beg to differ. It is indeed something to worry about. It's not even summer time. It is barely spring. We have an epidemic here in Lambaque Peru. 48 deaths this year alone

In Mumbai degue fever is very common.
Last October .. I have had this fever.
Excruciatingly painful experience I had .. specially joint and muscle pain.. Headache was like migraine attack.
Thanks to ALLAH and my local Doctor .. She helped me to recover from this within a normal range of medications.
Otherwise unnecessarily doctors here hospitalise ppl and charge more ..however their platelet count were above 50000..(no need)
1 weeks treatment in multispeciality hospital costs around 60-70000 Indian Rupees.
Oh my lord .. she treated me within 2000INR.
    I wasn't hospitalised.
Mine Platelet count was 99000 .
I diagnosed at critical period of dengue. After 5 days of hilarious fever.
