Blavatsky warns of the evil cabal that controls society, but only the true Theosophist students would know and take heed of such warning. Most of the prints of Blavatsky, including Manly p. Hall's writings, have been greatly altered, those prints especially of the later decades which preceds their deaths/hall's murder.

Funny how the same things pop up around the globe and through different people. "Thought forms" is also a concept in Spiritism, naturally also in Universalism, because they are real. Let us be careful with what we think for it is reality.
I feel that my vitality for life has almost completely petered out. I feel like I'm slowly dying. As a last resort, I am throwing away my naturalist-materialist bias and jumping headfirst into what seems to me complete and utter tomfoolery and wishful thinking. This even as i lived and grew up around the theosophical society, Chennai, and have considerable knowledge of Jiddu Krishnamurti, and have been in the company of a few so-called enlightened folk. Let's hope internalizing this metaphysic works. So far, materialism has been a mixed bag for me. Wish me well if you think it useful.
What is the background of these books ? I wish I had discovered these years ago . They've honestly changed my life and try to tell people about these books but idk what to say other than I found them on TH-cam. I'd love to know more about them if possible .
They're all broadly centered in and around the New thought movement (in America), and the theosophical society (blavatsky et al). Sort of precursor to new age. The west had just (re)discovered Hinduism and Buddhism, and were going HAM, integrating the occultism from the Renaissance and medieval Christian gnosticism with what they perceived to be Hindu/Buddhist metaphysics. The theosophical society did wacko shit like declare that the Buddha will descend in this young Indian kid, and raised him with a bunch of "reincarnated" saints (also kids). The young Indian kid was jiddu Krishnamurthy. Look him up if you want lol. The people who wrote this very book are the ones that raised Jiddu.

I feel that my vitality for life has almost completely petered out. I feel like I'm slowly dying. As a last resort, I am throwing away my naturalist-materialist bias and jumping headfirst into what seems to me complete and utter tomfoolery and wishful thinking. This even as i lived and grew up around the theosophical society, Chennai, and have considerable knowledge of Jiddu Krishnamurti, and have been in the company of a few so-called enlightened folk.
Let's hope internalizing this metaphysic works. So far, materialism has been a mixed bag for me. Wish me well if you think it useful.

They're all broadly centered in and around the New thought movement (in America), and the theosophical society (blavatsky et al). Sort of precursor to new age. The west had just (re)discovered Hinduism and Buddhism, and were going HAM, integrating the occultism from the Renaissance and medieval Christian gnosticism with what they perceived to be Hindu/Buddhist metaphysics.
The theosophical society did wacko shit like declare that the Buddha will descend in this young Indian kid, and raised him with a bunch of "reincarnated" saints (also kids). The young Indian kid was jiddu Krishnamurthy. Look him up if you want lol. The people who wrote this very book are the ones that raised Jiddu.
