So you used a flame weeder ? My last Farming Job here in Kansas...i ran a rotary hoe for my Boss' Milo...did quite well without much weed pressure..however occasional palmer amaranth, bind weed, devils claw, johnson Grass, and the likes, hen bit and or chick weed
This year we had to replant sunflowers due to cutworm. After we replanted them we didn't really have an issue, we did not use anything to try to manage them.

Yes we cultivated and flame weeding the sunflowers for weed control.
When raising organic sunflower 🌻...how do you manage those Black Worms and or insect pressure
