Nobody does covers better the the Angel of vocals, she adds so much more melancholy to every cover.she sings.
I truly love this vocal chameleon, she really pulls at my heart strings.
I have followed her since finding her not notification, and have listened to her everyday since.
What i don't understand is her lack of views and subs.
For example, Karelia Protsenko is only (but absolutely brilliant) a busker violinist and gets millions of hits and subs. Angelina is freakin awesome and she's lucky to get thousands, I don't understand

@@jayseaem Hi! Karolina is not only a busker, as she receives professional training as a violinist. Also, she is one of the young generation of "influencers" and promotes products.
Up until very recently, Angelina treated her singing as a hobby, and the only exposure she received was at local and charity concerts. Even now, she has not been heavily promoted.
Just heard something for the first time... Angelina starts singing a few words and then clams up. Nothing. Nada. Silence. And then she sings a few more words. And silence. No trills, no fillers, just quiet. She uses negative 'space' like a painter to accentuate. She's too, too smart this kid.
Her musical IQ is off the charts.
She is one and only..... its not about the technique, its not about the style but its all about the love and care...
Her voice at 10 years old is really extraordinary. You’re in for a real treat, especially the Ella Fitzgerald classic “Every Time We Say Goodbye”, just she and a guitarist on a rooftop in Oslo before she left the country on a tour.

Scrolling down for a while I couldn't find where anybody responded to your question at the end there. Yes, definitely that's why I listen to Angelina's songs multiple times because you get something new from every time you listen, for the first several listens. The rich nuances that she gives us are like no other singer before. She's a storyteller through and through, and the journey she brings us on is so multifaceted that it takes several listens to fully appreciate. And then, once you get it fully, then she brings you to tears again when you hear it because you fully appreciate the entirety of her performance. I've said it before and I'll say it again, she truly is a magical being.
Angelina controls this performance from start to finish like a chess grandmaster. She knows exactly what moves she's going to make, and she rules that stage. Her singing has many levels, so to answer your question, yes, I react differently on different occasions, sometimes more to the emotion, sometimes to a technical feature I hadn't noticed before, sometimes just because her voice is so satisfying to listen to. Before you move on the other 10 and 11 year old Angelina, I really think you should check out the interview she did on Norwegian TV where she talked about the girl she gave her shoes to and also sang Unchained Melody. I think you'd like it.

You probably realize this by now, but Angelina will keep amazing you over and over and over again. She was great at seven, and as you watch her get older, she keeps amazing you in different ways. Her voice develops, obviously, as she gets older, but I listen to young Angelina just as much as older Angelina. Everyday-I listen to Angelina everyday. I have never come close to feeling like that about any other singer, and I grew up with the great music of the 50’s and 60’s.
Totally agree. I have to listen to AJ every day. For me, she is always the best at whatever age or older. Somewhere along the line she became the best period.

One of my favorite parts about this performance is how you can see she's having fun and completely relaxed making eye contact with the camera as it pans around her up close.
I usually have a tear in the corner of my eye when I listen to Angelina sing I know a woman who listened to angelina's cover of Rihanna's "stay," and she said she felt like she had an out of body experience. Like the song and Angelina's voice carried her off somewhere.
I remember that this actual performance is one out of the 93 performances that became the ''tipping point'' for me, and I became this Angelina fan. And now, I can't help but listening to everything she does LOL she is phenomenal.

One of my very favorites! If you watch until the end, you can see how big the audience was, and she was cool as a cucumber. How did you like her arrangement with the horns, etc.? She has this special ability to “hear” the instruments and how she wants them to compliment the vocals. At 10 years old!

Oh, one of the videos that you missed corner logically is her singing My funny Valentine for us when she was I think like 9 or something maybe 10 but anyway she's sitting on a couch at home and just gives it to us as a Valentine's Day present. She introduces the song, then goes into her little singing world and transforms into the goddess that she is. I'd love to see how you react to it.
That first Feeling Good she sang in that low register of hers always gets to me.

This really is the performance when I stopped saying " for her age". She is as good or better than any adult who has sung this song. More amazement awaits. Btw, you missed her curtsy at the end. When you get to her acoustic stuff around 12 make sure you go all the way to the end. She'll often give a wave and/or goodbye, which makes you feel like she's talking right to you. Great stuff! Looking forward to the podcast.

This particular performance of this song is amazing. Bands of this caliber do not perform with someone this age. Angelina commands the stage, the band and the audience like someone three times her age.

Yes for me it is the second time I hear her songs that hit me emotionally. I noticed it the most when she first came out with her art and lyric version of Million Miles the first time I was so focused on everything, but the second time I heard it my emotions went crazy, cried all the way through the song. Wow you are at 10 and this is one of my favorites. It is so hard to chose favorites.
I'm just about to watch your reaction, and I thought " hold on to your hat here we go " .... AJ at 10yo found something inside her that let out an insane amount of talent that was astonishing.
Every song Angelina sings IS different, so therefore you should feel it differently? it IS TRUE because it makes you feel her music. Every detail is designed to bring the emotions to the words; and she HAS always done it, unbelievable at her young age. In regards to those high notes, yes, I knew it was coming( it's been called Angelina's Beast Mode-lol), but I get to relive it again and more importantly to see your pure happiness and joy from the first note to the last. Brain breaking right in front of my eyes 😂. Sometimes it's good to start it over and watch it again. Why wouldn't you want to feel the way you do when she sings, oh, oh, I got the RAMBLY'S 😂

Thank you for another reaction to Angelina. In my opinion, she is the best singer in the world, and there are thousands of others who would agree with me. Every moment you spend featuring her on your channel will being you great emotional satisfaction.
There are so many things I get from this performance. Some I recognised immediately and those I missed were brought to my attention by the more observant Angelina fans (her Angels) and I thank them for letting me know what I had missed.
(1) The realisation that at the age of 10 Angelina has shed all childishness from her voice.
(2) A feeling that the placement of the spotlight at the beginning of her performance was deliberate. If it was, then, to my mind, it was a brilliant move.
(3) The fact that Angelina arranged this song and that the band kept out of the way and let her voice be the focus.
(4) The incredible low note she sang for the word "good" at the beginning and end of the performance.
(5) That wonderful crescendo at the end.
(6) The was Angelina used her left arm and hand throughout the performance
(7) The way she changed the microphone from her right hand to left hand, so that she could flip her hair back with her right hand.
(8) The cheeky smile she gave to the cameraman when she realised he had focused on her at about 8.39 in your reaction video.
(9) The sideways look and grin she gives to her instrumentalists just after she curtsies to the audience -- as if to say, "Yeah, we killed it, guys! Now let's go get some ice cream!"
(10) The almost instantaneous switch from "performance" mode to that of a young child who,curseyed and gave a sweet smile to the audience as an acknowledgement of their applause.
Others have commented that the performance by Nina Simone should be considered the "gold" standard for this song. Until recently, I had never watched her performance, but have now done so. They just cannot be compared, for Angelina's arrangement is totally different

Another great reaction to our fabulous Angelina! This was a home run all the way for her, vocals, stage presence, everything. The step ladder up at the end was ridiculous, and just as impressive was the trip back down into that deep grunty growl! I was really looking forward to your reaction on this song. At age 9 with Spell On You she was getting much better at making her own arraignments. Here at age 10 just look at the professionals backing her up on that stage! At least 4 of the guys on the right continued playing for her for another year in concerts. Her 11-year-old performances are world class outstanding! Diamonds are Forever, Cry Me a River and Lovin You are unbelievably good. I'll not say anything about her first album recorded age 11-12 with the Norwegian military band and the complete album done live on stage at 12 years old

This performance is definitely in my top 5 of all her performances. Yes, some of her songs hit me differently each time I listen. This one is uplifting every time. It is a go to mood changer.

Great reaction as always! My only small critique is that you didn't take the video all the way to the end to watch her little humble curtsy to the audience and her looking over at the brass players and smiling a little adorable smile like "yeah, we did that." LOL! Cute as a little june bug! There are often little gems like that at the beginnings and endings of her videos. This may be my favorite by her. It's incredible, for such a little body, to be able to do that ending crescendo in ONE sustained breath and never falter! Wow! Thank you, Debbie! Before going much farther in to age 10, you REALLY should go back and watch her do Michael Jackson's "I'll Be There" at age 8, at a charity event. Even sick with a cold, she kills it! Also at 8, she performed Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World" on an outdoor stage, in freezing weather BAREFOOTED, at the Nobel Peace Prize event of 2014. Those two performances are true gems!

Thank you for another reaction to Angelina. Please, please react to her performance on her concert singing " I feel good". I think she was 8 or 9. I heard the original song over the radio after listening to her and I couldn't believe my ears how close to the original it sounds. Then there is her ending of the song. Unbelievable. There you see another side of Angelina. Never put her in a box.

I'm with you Debbie. Just like listening to any of my favorite singers, Angelina's music hits me where I am at that moment in time. Only a few can do that.
This is a great reaction. You captured so well the layers of Angelina's musicality and how they impact her Angels. She really absorbs the meaning of the lyrics then releases them vocally. Her emotions seem to flow from her soul and heart like no artist I've heard in decades of music.

Valerie, the vocal coach on the Vocal Splendor Studios channel, said after analyzing this performance, Angelina had reached the Master Class level of vocals. Those who reach the Master Class level can become vocal coaches themselves. Angelina was 10 years old. I hope Valerie is doing well. I checked her channel and she hasn't posted any new videos in over 2 months but she her most recent post on her Community page was 1 to 2 months ago.

If Nina Simone's rendition is considered 'The Gold Standard'
for this song......and it is. Well, this is 'The Platinum Standard'
in my opinion.....and at 10 years of age to not only sing this
but arrange it with the orchestra so that specific instruments
would come forth at specific times in the song. The National
Orchestra of Norway, called KORK, has worked with Angelina
and they simply refer to her as 'The Boss' when she was a year
younger than she is here.

I can tell that already, well i think from the very first song you heard, you are a full fledged Angel. I love the genuine enthusiasm and emotion you bring to your Angelina reactions. I still after years get teary eyed listening to 90% of Angelina songs and like most Angels was hooked right from the very first time i heard her which was Bohemian Rhapsody on AGT!. keep up the the Great reactions dear.

I wouldn't say I necessarily have a different "connection" each time I hear the same song, or a different "feeling" about it (except insofar as I do, which I will admit presently), but I definitely _notice_ more things that she's doing as I hear the same performance over and over and over. And the more I notice about her singing, typically the more impressed I am. (I'm not sure there's any case where I've noticed something on a subsequent listening that made me actually like one of her performances _less_ than I did initially.)
More generally - not speaking of Angelina specifically - I do tend to like songs more the more times I hear them. I think that's true for a lot of people, which is why it was a genius move to release at least a half dozen teasers for her latest single before we got the whole thing. When it comes to Angelina's original songs in particular, I almost never _love_ them the first time I hear them. There's just way too much to "process" all at once - especially if I'm being introduced to the song via a fully "produced" music video. My initial reaction is almost always something along the lines of "Hmm… OK, that was interesting". (This is why I would be a terrible reacter - or, to be more accurate, people would find me to be a terrible reacter.)
Covers are much easier for me to have a strongly positive initial reaction to (assuming I have some familiarity with the original and/or previous covers of the song), because I have a kind of immediate "baseline" or "point of reference" for comparison. I don't really remember the first time I saw this particular performance, but I'm reasonably certain I found it to be super impressive right away.
Debbie, you missed the very ending of this video, where Angelina gives her little kurtsie then turns and smirks at the band. I love that. While you're doing Angelina at 10 years old there are some songs you don't want to miss. They are 'Back to Black' , I'm Still Holding Out for You, and 'Alan Walker heading home'. There are many others, but these are, have to in my opinion. Thanks for a great reaction to this one, it's one of my favorites.

Angelina’s maternal grandfather used to help the homeless people in Oslo & he used to take her with him when she was young. This influence was instrumental in her becoming someone who really cared about those less fortunate than herself & explains the story behind her now being known as the barefoot princess. Angelina continues her grandfathers work by now helping the homeless in LA. AJ has always been happy to sing at various charity events. She is a beautiful human being.
Yes, this was a stunning performance and you know what I think when I see you react to it? I think how much I envy you. You have so much wonderful music coming up. To experience all those for the first time again would be fantastic!
Not to envy, her new music is coming out soon. Judging from LDLMG we have many treats in store for us this summer and fall.

Oh .. and you may already know this but she gave her her brand new booties .. pink with glitter that she had fallen in love with .. yet she didn't for a second hesitate and she took them off and handed them to her. Brand new. Sweet indeed. I love how in the book she talks about how all that opened up her heart in a new way. Sigh.

Thanks for another great reaction to & appreciation of another mesmerizing performance by our Barefoot Princess - Angelina - this time at age 10. I know you're going through a list of songs, but at some point there are several other amazing 10 year old performances by Angelina that you need to watch - including: "Every Time We Say Goodbye", the Amy Winehouse classic - "Back To Black" (with new lyrics written by Angelina to be more age appropriate) & a somewhat obscure song that Angelina was asked to demo (but one of my all time favs at any age) - "I'm Still Holding Out For You".
