Your S7 has problems. Maybe do a factory reset & try again. This is NOT normal, not even close. We have old Samsungs in the family, there is an S6 that's 10x faster than your S7.
Same my s7 edge opens tiktok in just 3 seconds instead of 5 minutes shown in the video! It is literally 15x faster than the video I'm using it as my daily driver
The reason why the phone is unusable is because of the Snapdragon 820 processor, which is very bad, and the Snapdragon 810 is even better since it heats up considerably. In fact all phones with the snapdragon 820, 821 processor are unusable today. The s7 and s7 edge with the exynos 8890 processor are much much faster and can be used perfectly today.
that's a lot of "actually"s lmao I ended up getting my s23 ultra stolen at a bar when it fell out of my pocket so I had to revert to my old s9, never going back to those older phones again. It worked fine, in fact it is still a really good phone-- but it is missing out on so many good features, simple stuff too like being able to crop videos while editing and not just zoom in on them. Stayed with that for 6 months before saving up for a much better phone--- I'm so happy I got the s24 ultra now, one of the best phones on the market by far.
I still have this phone, it runs flawlessly for the basics and even occasionally still gets minor updates! This is why I loved Samsung! I only had to switch because they shut off the 3G networks where I live! Or I would still be using it to this day!

There must be something wrong with your phone, I've been using my S7 for five years now and it's still perfectly fine. I've generally upgraded my phone when it starts to feel laggy due to apps bloating (updating) over time, and it hasn't happened with this one. Or maybe it's because yours seems to be some weird carrier specific model with unknown amounts of additional stuff.
There's also the fact that that phone was fast back then, and if you still use it consistently then you've never truly experienced faster so your brain defaults the S7 as Fast even though it's dreadfully slow for most nowadays.
It's a weird phenomenon you may have used faster but if you've never used fast as long as you've used your current, then do you your brain classifies your current as fast even though it really isn't.

Try to custom rom the s7 with android 14 it is still as fast as a new midrange
