This is absolutely shocking! Any viewer who is not utterly appalled at this wilful destruction of the homes of poor people has no heart. With a police force the size of a small army and heavy machines simply leveling the homes of hundreds of people to the ground is unbelievably cruel. And where were those police officers when one man came to make the life miserable for Parvaneh? But thank you to one policeman (Mr. Sarvan) who came to warn them literally minutes before the machines arrived! The purpose of this cruel act of demolition is obscure as it is obviously not to reclaim agricultural land. The rubble is simply left there and the ground left useless for planting anything. All those defenseless people are now without shelter and probably have no money to rebuild somewhere else. My heart goes out to those poor helpless people and their children, some very small, who now have to sleep outside in the cold. Let us viewers unite in condemning this senseless an cruel act in the strongest terms. May the ones responsible for causing such misery be punished by whatever god they believe in.

The houses are torn down because they were built on land designated as farmland for crops. Owners needed an additional permit to build there but were never informed of that so we’re unaware of that fact.
So many people left homeless without an eviction order nor notice to vacate.Where is humanity? Demolished all hard work, and why did they not stop the people from building, why when they were settled?. The land owner is guilty. Happy nobody got hurt by those bulldozers.

It’s really sad what happened to all these nomadic people. What heartless people are in charge of the demolition of so many homes. One thing I don’t understand is why Parvaneh kept saying that she wanted to sell the house after she was told that the government was going to demolish her house. She even told her mother in-law they needed to sign over their half so she could sell it. Didn’t she realize how unethical and dishonest that was? She would have sold a house on false pretenses not caring that the new owner bought the house in good faith and would loose everything when the house was demolished? I find her way of thinking shameful.
