This is very exciting and informative for me to watch. I am 62 years old and have decided to fit a Porche 944 engine mid engine onto my 66 Volkswagen beetle. I have been dreaming of building a mid engine car for at least 30 years, and now the opportunity has presented itself. Providing 150 hp, with some fabrication and modification, it should snug into the body and pan quite nicely. Certainly beats 40 hp from stock back in the day. Who needs a back seat after all, right!? Thank you for your encouragement.
It looks like GT4 race car level of performance in this chassis which can turn the VW Beetle into the ultimate sleeper car. Absolutely amazing and beautiful showcase of engineering.
I've followed you guys since the first build, Wow, a roadster! Seriously? This unit will not be for the novice owner or novice driver. I definitely could not have owned this Beast Beatle when I was eighteen years old, no way. But today, if I could ever afford one, probably never, I could handle the Beast professionally. Great video and never too Long...😊
@jeanfourie5236 I'd inquired about working for you some few years ago. I've got some receipts of our last conversation. We talked about working for one of your Creation...
Excellent job Jean. I have a 1972 Beetle that my dad baught for me in 1986. I've had 22 1600 twinports in it. I think i payed like R650 for the first one and about R13000 for the last. My dream is to have you do your magic on mine but for now that's just a dream. You really do an incredable job and i love your videos. Keep up the good work. And merry Christmas and happy new year to you and your team.
Very, very nice, and that engine is so much more accessible in the roadster. Speaking of the engine it sounds awesome on quality headphones. If I ever win vast amounts of money I'd buy one.

So wonderful not spending extra money for Audi V8 & difficulty finding those parts. LS or LT Chevrolet was my original question over 2 years ago ! Fyi... You didn't respond.
@V8StealthBeetle ty for responding. No harm before "just my feeling" no physical pain. I've been subscriber for over 2 years and think I've watched every single video. Love everything about your engineering and follow through.
I'm sure. People have put v8's into these things sine the 70's. Our variation is that this is a production car you can buy, not a once off that a guy did in his back yard.
@@jeanfourie5236 I am a mechanic and I can assemble a car like this one very easily. I can NOT fabricate all of the custom made parts needed to make it happen. This project has a lot of billet aluminum parts made in a machine shop. If this guy can produce and sell these parts, please let me know.
The most enthusiastic guys ever
Yes i bet it will be a blast to drive. And the sound of the chevy.....so SWEET

This is incredible... And everything here is done so nicely. No random stuff, pure engineering.
thank you, we are proud of our work
Beautiful workmanship, and an absolute pleasure to watch. Now, I wonder if I can convince Santa ....... 😅
A work of art 😎 and loved the longer video 👍🙂
Undoubtedly, but, definitely a unique, unprecedented, unparalleled, unmatched, masterpiece of achievement.

Not sure who this is, and why are you waiting on me ?

Impressive engineering and innovation. Makes me very proud of the South African team ✌
Man that's baddass great work guy's
I remember this kind of mid engine build in Popular Mechanics back in the 70's. It's been done before, this is just more refined.
I really don’t think you can compare.
Congratulations mine brothers!🎉
I rejoice wonderfully! Thanketh thee, for the painstaking, and patient documentation.
Joyous New Year!😇
Thanks for the kind words!
Tris build is amazona, youre great engineers
Love this whole mid-engine/engineered package !

Amazing work gentlemen. I've been following you for some time. It'd really be cool to drive one of those little hotrods.
Outstanding work! Looking forward to seeing what 2025 brings ! ! !
Awsome build guys. Merry Christmas and and Great New Year...
thanks, and same to you
Hello Jean ! Nice Work ! Happy New Year !🐞
Thanks and to you
That's a real car...WOW...
awesome neat build , you might have to explain to non south africans what muti is
i have to leave a couple of special bits in..but well spotted. Muthi is a term for traditional medical remedies prescribed by herbal healers or inyanga in Southern Africa. The word "muthi" comes from the Zulu/Xhosa/Northern Ndebele word umuthi, which means "tree".
@@V8StealthBeetle Thanks for that info, I just thought that it was an engine additive.
No need to explain the length. I would watch even if it was an hour. Can’t afford now but this channel allows me to dream
Sounds great and looks great. 👍
Wow!! ... nog 'n stunning bug. Wegedaan aan die span! Wens julle ook 'n blink 2025 toe en geniet die rus periode.
26 minute is not a long show, I could easily do an hour.
2-3hrs. Lol
Me too.
Absolutely wonderfull...
Say Merry Christmas. We wish it for you all.
and to you, thanks
So when did it get painted black ?
You do make them in left hand drive
Yes they do.
Yes... they are made to order.... a truly uniquer car
@V8StealthBeetle that goes with out say !! Yes truly unbelievable beautiful build
How much is it to convert a Beetle to have it like you built it?
lots of info on our 3L Engineering website, links above. but a full car starts at US$92000
Wow!
Would the clutch be hard on your calf muscles
it's all relative
Is it possible to buy the drive train from you guys as you have built it in this video?
generally no. we have modified it for our v8bug.
Follow up questions is the Gearbox a 01e?
O1X, but O1E will work as well
That’s one long-ass drivetrain 😂
Can you register this vehicle in Belgium to drive on the highway?
Or is this only for private property and circuit?
it can we registered, jut need to know Belgium's testing requirements.
Do you know anyone registered this in melbourne, Australia.
not yet
I want to see the S car go.
soon, I promise
Trading paces
Where is the starter?
Still waiting for the bit where this is in any way 'stealthy' 😂😂😂
I prefer 45 minutes or a hour. Don’t care if I want to watch something

Cape Town 😊

Very nice but it is NOT a DIY. I would have to buy it already made. I like to see projects I can do in my garage.
it is possible, we have guys all over the world building their own.
Currently 14 cars being assembled by guys in the their garages……🤔
