I can remember many years ago seeing an episode of The Goodies, in which the Anti-Fun Party was elected to power in Parliament and proceeded to go around the country physically stopping people from enjoying themselves (stealing beer, popping balloons etc.) Who would have thought that fifty years later absurdist comedy would become horrific reality?

Modafinil is an ideal drug to improve ones productivity.
It's impossible to sit around doing nothing and tunes up ones mental and physical work rate.

Will the govt address the intense advertising from the food deliver companies such as Deliveroo, just eat etc, whose send multiple notifications and offers every day encouraging people to get a takeaway? I piled on the pounds while I was waiting for the NHS. A year on a waiting list waiting to see a respiratory doctor where I couldn't breathe very well and therefore couldn't exercise. I became sedentary overnight. When you are active and then stop suddenly, it is a problem. Now that the underlying issue with my breathing is improving, I'm still struggling to be active because my weight is an issue for my breathing.
Sometimes, people need additional help, but it very much depends on the person and the circumstances.

A sane policy would be to ban gambling advertisements, which are all over sport and other media consumed by young people, and the normalization of gambling to kids people via gaming loot-boxes, sponsored streamers playing casinos on Twitch (a platform with a minimum age of 13). Taxing it more without addressing that is more than cynical, it's downright psyhopathic and creates a perverse incentive where more gamblers = more income for the state.

It's actually amazing how stupid smart people can be, when they go outside the things that they know stuff about !
