How about an Austal EPF Escort Support variant Ship equipped with a couple of those CUSV boats in the cargo hold + a Vulcano-armed 127mm on the rear deck and that Helios laser on the bow : ) ... just add a couple MQ-8 perhaps, a few torpedoes and call it a day ...
Vulcano was developed by OTO Melara, which is now part of Leonardo. BAE started a joint venture with Leonardo to implements the rounds into the Mk 45 naval gun and the M777 and M109 howitzers. So it's not really from BAE. Classic BAE Systems, they even claim the CV90 is theirs now.
the aerodynamic shape of the Vulcano contributes to its range or else you would rather opt for a shorter range but heavier warhead excalibur from Raytheon. lol
Bae sys has another product the MS-SGP which uses rocket boosters to improve range while retaining warhead but of course its much more expensive...hehe

I didn't know Vulcano is saboted sub caliber for 155mm. That's sad.
Jonny yes
It's a waste of valuable payload.

Yeah, i thought they developed a round with the same lethality as the Excalibur and greater range, but it seems it's only a tradeoff.
