Please note that you now have 4 camp chests. The 2 new ones probably have the extras frtom the DLC again... food etc.

Hmmm, why do they keep appearing like that?

      @@immersioneer Because of the crash.
Every time the game crashes it creates another camp chest.
I play single player and in some runs I have 4 chests, which is the maximum. Fortunately the game sees me as the owner of all 4.

@@immersioneer I forgot to add this, check your settings again after the crash, they may have reverted to default. Stuff like karmic dice

@@immersioneer It is a bug. It happens IF your game crashes and you have the DLC. Somehow the DLC code doesn't register that you have already received your bonus and gives you another one. I don't know if there is a limit. I ended up with 4, so that may be the limit. Makes sorting in camp easier. All the books in one chest, Saleable goods in another etc.

Traders who have poor opinion of you aren't good for selling your garbage to.
Prices, both buying and selling, are affected by their opinion of you and your persuasion stat.
So if they dislike you, they'll pay less for your stuff, and you need to pay more for their stuff

I never understood how to increase their opinion of you though? Is it worth to just give them some items for free - will that raise their opinion of us? And at what point will that compensate in terms of increased prices? And then again, we'd have to travel all the way back to the grove, for example, to get our best relationship trader? :/ Seems a bit lame for a trading system, in my opinion...

@@immersioneer There are a few cases where having done a quest for the trader or having chosen a certain dialogue option gives you an opinion increase, but those are rare.
The standard way is to barter and pay more than the price, or to just donate stuff without buying anything at all.
The amount of "attitude" you get per gold value depends on your level, there are tables for how much gold is needed.
It's certainly profitable if you use dedicated vendors for selling, but less so at higher levels. (unless you steal back the donated gold, but keep in mind that the sleight of hands DC goes up with the value and weight of what you steal)
To make buying stuff cheaper it is unlikely to be worth it unless a vendor has a bunch of expensive stuff you want.
I can give you the math for all of this, if you like. That way you can calculate if it's worth it to reduce the buying prices.
if all of this is too "gamey", you can simply avoid buying and selling with traders who dislike you. After all, if you were in combat with someone before, it wouldn't be that weird to not go shopping there

@@immersioneer If you want/need to improve your standing with them. Give them gold for free. I would always put the gold into a pouch or backpack. because then IF you later have to kill them, that bag will be one of the most valuable items on them, and when you loot their body you get your gold back.

@@Jules_Diplopia Hmmm, good to know. Can you travel back to areas like the Grove throughout the game or will there be some points of "no return"?
Overall though, sounds like it's not really worth the hassle. We seem to have plenty of gold. Seems like they "overengineered" the system tbh, you don't really get amazing items from traders and it's not like a proper "relationship" as they aren't well developed NPCs...

@@immersioneer There are several point of No Return. The game warns you, but sometimes you can still go back, but you should never rely on it. Anyway you need to stay on track to maintain the immersion.
