Thank you very much for the video. I was looking for for something exactly like that. As I was watching it, I purchased one online. Your review helped me make my decision. Best regards, Ron.
Hiya Ron! No worries and thank you kindly for the message. Lovely to hear the vid helped. This jacket is my go to as standard now. Very adaptable unless it’s really wintery cold. But tons of venting. And looks great. 👍 All the best Ric
Does the waterproof liner go on the outside of the jacket? I know Revit will even if that's not the purpose of it. I find it better to wear it outside. Easier to put on and keeps the jacket dry.
Ah Nigel. Yes for sure mate. They are very loud mate. Sometimes too loud as wake me up in the morning 😁. Yes I bet it reminds you of being here. Although I'd love to be there instead haha. 👍🤣
Hiya Fred. No problem mate and glad you liked the vid. Unfortunately the pants were too tall for me. They don't do a short leg version. So I'll continue using my rukka pant Thanks Ric
Hello there! I have only ever used my rucksack for water bladder sorry. Illl have to check but I am pretty sure there is no pocket for a bladder in the jacket itself
Good review. Ricardo, been a great help to me as have a 22 SAS 1290. Have had issues but love this when riding. You have any overheating? First time off-road on fire roads only hot sign comes up an yellow banner!! And it’s 50 degrees out(F not Celsius!)
Hiya Krusher. Cheers mate great hearing from you. I haven't had any issues with my bike at all. It really surprises me to hear of the different issues people have experienced. I'm wondering if it was the later batches that had more issues. Mine was an April 21 bike so very early for this model. So far so good on and off road mate. Keep an eye on it and mention it to your dealer 👍 Cheers Ric
Hiya bud apologies for late reply! It has poor.sponge back insert but reasonable elbow pads. I ended up buying the ktm chest armour and upgraded rear armour for this jacket 👍
Ricardo not related to the jacket sorry, have you found a set of metal bark busters that will fit with decent clearance to the tft screen? I don’t think the plastic ones will save a lever in a drop. I don’t think mashing the tft would be good either! BTW your videos have been very helpful it’s like cheating I wired in my gps no problem with your help.
Hello Erik thanks for comment. To be honest I have not had any problems so far with my existing bark busters and metal frames. I have about 10mm clearance from the TFT due to not using the spacer. And also due to how I've positioned them. It does take some playing around though to get it just right. But I agree. Cheers Ric
@@RicardoYeep Thanks for the response. Have you done any videos in the past how you set your hand guards up that I can go back to? Also do you have an email I can drop you a picture of a pretty awesome shot of the 1290 SAR

Hey Ricardo, just noticed you have the Touratech Toolbox installed. Did you have any troubles installing it together with the cases? I can't get mine on together with the cases. The rear clamp of toolbox gets in the way of one of the bumbers of the case.
Nice presentation. I was thinking also about gettin one for warm summer days. Any ideea what manufacturer makes that for KTM? I know it's a KTM design. Cheers from Belgium!👌
Hello there mate! Cheers for the comment and watching. Much appreciated. These I recommend as they are a great all round jacket. Probably too cold for winter but it’s not made for that anyway. Although I was out in it yesterday with a heated body warmer which was spot on. Look the part too. Am sorry but not sure of the actual manufacturer. I guess KTM would keep that too secrets 😆 👍
Thanks for your well presented review. Question: Do you experience exhaust heat mainly on right leg and if so are you investigating a heat shield? I’m about to collect my new 22 SAR.
Hiya Chris. Cheers again for the positive vibes. As for the exhaust heat. I don't experience any at all. The new design and split rads with Dual fans blows heat outwards and away from the rider. This fixes the common complaint on the previous gen bikes. So no I don't have need for a shield. 👍 Congrats on the new bike. Hope you get many smiles out of it and trouble free 🙏 Cheers Ric
Hiya Gary! Spot on mate exactly the same reason I have it. I took both my Rukka and this KTM jacket in my Pyrenees ACT trio a few weeks ago. Top jacket and my go to as long as it’s not freezing out. Very versatile and waterproof with its over layer. And soo cool with all venting open on the sweaty hot slow off roading trails. A life saver 👍 You might see I was using it on my Pyrenees 5 min clip. No joke it’s my fave jacket All the best, Ric
Haha excellent. However I would upgrade the back protection in it. The basic foam one is poor. I ended up spending a decent few quid on chest plates and back plates for it . You’ll see 👍
Know what you mean mate. I said that about my Rukka. And to be fair I still stand by it. This jacket is a nice extra. But if one or the other then it's the Rukka for me
@@RicardoYeep I wanted to try Rukka before Klim as I’m in a cooler climate but it’s not typically sold in my area. Too expensive to jump back and forth.
Yes I know what you mean it is dam expensive stuff. But i have to say for coder climates and more road biased gear I dont think anything is as good. Klim is definitely up there but I think they are more off road biased than the rukka stuff. Albeit still bomb proof kit. And still bloody expensive too lol 😆
Ricardo I’ve just collected my sas today and 40 miles later the gear-lever has sheared it centre fixing bolt!! You may want to look at yours as now the dealers got to collect the bike Not impressed!
Hello Terry thanks for sharing that mate. So far I've no problems and also I've even adjusted it myself a few times to accommodate my enduro boots. I didn't see any adverse wear. Sorry to hear you've had an issue. Thank Ric 👍

Did you manage to figure out the routing for the hydration pack?
Does the waterproof liner go on the outside of the jacket? I know Revit will even if that's not the purpose of it. I find it better to wear it outside. Easier to put on and keeps the jacket dry.
Hello Robert! Thanks for watching it’s my mistake and wrong use of terminology. It’s not a liner it’s a waterproof over layer. Waterproof Mac 👍
Never mind the jacket . As an exile living in australia…. The bird song in the background is beautiful . Makes me miss sunny sheffield .
Ah Nigel. Yes for sure mate. They are very loud mate. Sometimes too loud as wake me up in the morning 😁. Yes I bet it reminds you of being here. Although I'd love to be there instead haha. 👍🤣

How do you funnel the water bladder drinking tube

Hiya Kevin. I had to turn the rear clamp upside down in order to allow the pannier to attach. It did take a little fiddling but got there ok 👍
I wonder if that was made by Vango, looks awful like my tent, got all the same flaps and gadgets. Thanks for the review Riccardo 👍🏻
