Abandoned Mining Ruins & Bottle Dump

  • Located just on the outskirts of Centralia Pennsylvania sits another abandoned Ghost town called Byrnesville. Many people aren't aware of it since the town of Centralia took most of the attention, but the mine fire chased out residents from Byrnesville as well. Just like Centralia, it was a coal town complete with its own colliery. So come along with me as we head out to check some remnants, structures and ruins from the former coal town. Enjoy

Please Note: Exploring Abandoned locations can be dangerous. I don't condone or encourage anyone to enter an Abandoned structure. Not only is safety a concern, but often times its illegal and when possible, i seek out permission. I simply go to document its history before it's gone and leave things the way I find them. I assume all the risks & responsibility in doing so. Please don't attempt to do this on your own.

The most valuable in glass are pink, blue , green, Amber coloured glasses, bottles, plates. Old medicine bottles, Mercury bottles can feach up in $. (into thousands 4 or 5)
Vases with the 'makers marks' can bring in cash so can depression glassware, plates, glasses.
I got to dig alittle in an old outhouse hole at a State Park with their permission & park rangers were with me & my metal detector. We found coins, and metal toys, the outhouse was by an old school from the 1800's. The stuff we found went to their little Ranger Park museam.
If you could find a soda bottle from 1915 it could be worth up to $150,000. or so. Any soda bottles (in tact) are worth up to from $5 to $25. on up.
You never know what you might find. I hope you bring gloves.
      Be safe, & have fun.😁
If you look at the 'thank you patrons' video I put a plug for your channel as well as one for Oddie at the same time & Oddie was nice enough to keep it up & heart it.

The Pepsi bottle looks like the foam label that covers the bottle that was called "the boss". A glass 2 litre bottle that weighed a ton! Late 70s, early 80s.

I can imagine the place is easily missed in the summer. Like the tree growing on the concrete floor and thriving, it is amazing how nature will claim the land back. Loved the video and if Cliff would have been there you would have had a time with him and the dump site! I used to love to all that in my youth. I have found that indeed youth is wasted on the young. lol

@@JPVideos81 yeah that's a negative right now LOL. I'll figure it out tomorrow. If I don't have a new hot water heater by tomorrow I can always hit my neighbor's house, a friends house, even my parents. But this is the only good part about renting a house, I just call it in and forget it. But then again if I owned, I would have replaced the damn thing last year when I started having issues!!

I'm a old bottle junkie😉I'd be in heaven there. As cool as the mine ruins were the highlight for me was the dump. If the bottle has threads on the top it's not super old. I have a glass 2 liter coke bottle with cap and label in tact.. No it's not old it's just cool. I wish everything came in glass like it used to. It's much more recyclable. Tfs JP and crew👍👍

It's funny how trash becomes history. How ever unsightly it may be.
The Ma's rootbeer was a blast from the past. I remember as kids, my cousin and I used to ride our bikes to a local (very small)mom and pop country store and buy a Ma's rootbeer and a Stewart's sandwich. Then get the 5 cent deposit back on the bottles and spend it on licorice fish for the ride back home.

Very astute observation finding that line that separated the other building that was no longer standing. I like these roadside fines. It's cool to try and speculate what existed on this property. I think that you might have been a coal miner in a previous life! You have an awesome knowledge of the coalinga industry and I'm fascinated to learn about this industry. There are a few coal mines not too far from where I live across the Mississippi River operated by Peabody Coal. But nothing as vast as from your area. Thanks again DCC or another great video. That is quite a large complex of buildings, so I'd bet there is information somewhere about it.
I tried to spot the old road paths ,,but it's difficult to determine where they were.
Those buildings are older than the garbage.

@@JPVideos81 There are some things still there like walls and such. Not to mention the fire under Laurel Run has been burning LONGER than Centralia.

I loved this video. And hope you all have your tetanus shots. LOL. Just walking looking noticing natures carpet and things cast away that is some persons junk and maybe another's treasure and you friends being together. I just love it . You could just do hikes LIVE or not LIVE- either way we will all go with you see what we can find and have a real good time. LOL I dont drink coffee either. My parents drank it tho the Sanka decaf cuz I guess the caffeine bothered them? I drink FIJI brand artesian water when I can afford it otherwise store brand when funds are low but never out the faucet. NEVER EVER.. I did used to drink Diet Pepsi on special occasion but dont like the chemicals in artificial sweetener Aspartame - afraid of it and not worth it healthwise to me so now I drink the regular kind if and when I go out. God Bless your day. xoxo
