Personally I just use slayer for training combat. Also fun tip use a menaphite potion with 5 seconds left on divine super combat pot to extend it by 5 minutes. They're cheap
Just getting back into RS again. I've been watching a number of your guides and they've been really helpful in building my account up! Thanks for this one, great vid as usual 👍
DPS: 99>Piety>Weapon>Necklace>Ring>Defender>Gloves>Chest>Legs>Boots Raids 1 and 2 can be done with a minimum of an Abyssal Tentacle and Dragon Warhammer or Bandos Godsword. If camping CoX more, aim for a Dragon Hunter Lance. Raids 3 is pretty much surrounded by Osmumten’s Fang considering Ghrazi Rapier is more expensive and a rare from raids 2, so much harder to obtain. You can use a blue Keris on Kephri under a 300 raid level at bare minimum. Raids 1 spec weapons: DwH > BGS > Claws (Vanguard/Vasa) Raids 2 spec weapons: DwH > BGS > Claws > Chally > DDS Raids 3 Spec weapons: BGS > Voidwaker > Claws > Fang
An alternative method that does have somewhat high requirements but can get you insane exp is pest control. On the 100+ combat boat and with the hard tier combat achievements done you get 8 points a game. Every 100 points you turn in, you get 10% bonus exp. You can get close to 200K exp/hr at lvl 90+
Great video! In the vein of "AFK experience with some profit", I just did a couple hours of mole yesterday to finish off an attack level. Pretty good profit per hour, little to no risk, and a pet chance on top.
This has to be at least the 3rd time I've posted this, but. It just so happens that melee gear progression is one of the next main things I need to work on for my account! Ranged as well but still a gear progression guide is exactly what I've had on my mind for the last week or two. And somehow that's the video you were working on during that time. Great job as always!
Great guide! But I love to see a ironman guide (content like; at what moment you suggest grinding for a certain weapon or what do you consider the best weapon for a certain attack style). Please keep up the good work!
seek out parasailer's gear progression guide, it's a simple picture based on the Bruhsailer ironman guide. just add muspah scepter upgrade after bofa and fang after torture and anguish
I just hit 82 attack and really want to get the fang BUT I am going to hold off on it until I get my first Fire cape. I’m nervous but it’s time to get over that hill. 🤙🏾
I took my Pest Control points, sold all of my void, just to get like 750k+ strength experience which made the grind from 98 to 99 so easy. Every 100 points at 98 is 61.6k experience and the points come so fast on the 3rd boat.
loooovee ur guides! and this just confirmed my training method for my new acc. Also there is Bandits at bebadin camp.. no aggro timer when wearing any godspecipic item. Did them on my main back in the days.. :D
Stuck at 98 strength, I'm thinking about just borrowing a bud's scythe and sending it.... The struggle is real man. I think if anyone is in my situation and trying to rush Str levels, I've found that combining Soul wars and Pest control is awesome. When doing pest control be sure to be a part of the game and do as much "melee" damage as you can because that's going to count as a lot of experience per hour for you. For me right now at 98 strength every 100 points from pest control is about 57lk exp (with the 10% boost from using 100 at a time ). I get about 182 pts per hour there ( and time fly's there, its not dismal like the NMZ ). This all would mean that with 182 ish points per hour, I get 84K per hour from the points and abut 50k exp from regularly attacking the pests, totaling about 134k per hour, which is Far better than any methods I know that exist in the game. There is ONLY 1 other thing you could do but it would require a few people restoring your special with the Bulkward at Nechs with a salve amulet as its special hits in a 10 by 10 radius. This will yeild about 400 - 500k per hour for your melee stat that you're trying to level. I don't have friends or a bulkward so thats out of the question for me =-D. Either way guys, good luck and know that I'm right next to you suffering, grinding my ass off with you
If you enjoy pest control it can be up to 200k melee xp/hr btw if you complete combat achievments easy med and hard each will increase your points earned per game of pest control which u can trade for the xp.
isnt it just better using inquisitor set with mace since its low requirements once 80 attack over the fang and rapier u get extra bonus from set also, just like using inquisitor for slayer all the way to early 90
The problem with ALL barbarian assault guides is that they already expect you to know what the items names are and what they do. They’ll be “go and grab the green egg and put it into the chamber” (haven’t done BA so idk the items cuz it’s been forever since watching a guide). Anyways as someone who knows literally NOTHING about BA, when people start throwing around BA terms i get completely lost. I need a video made to explain it to me like im a 5 year old
Whats the melee gear order for base 82? Ferocious, prims, tassets, faceguard, chestplate? We're talking like 110M so most people are going to make incremental upgrades.
Prims provide a minimal boost vs the investment. IMHO I'd personally invest in a torture, tassets + torso to save 20m+ on a BCP, which you can either invest in a faceguard or ferocious gloves + keep the change.
I had the most insane luck by getting my account hacked by a botter who proceeded to do nothing but train strength on green dragons in the wilderness. They got me 500k XP away from 99 strength so when I got my account back i was so happy to have such a high strength stat but also sad that i hadn’t earned it myself. But it does mean that the abyssal whip is perfect for me as i only need attack and defence XP now!
I think monkey madness 1 (daero's training focusing atk snd str) is essential early xp quest, though you may need more hp levels than witchs house gives
Melee stats are currently 82 att 90 str 82 def. Thinking about going straight to 99 str but will getting 85 or 90 attack make much of a difference if it's mostly done through slayer since they generally have low defence?
Can someone please tell me the name of all items in the gear levels 82-99? English is not my main language and i couldn't understand what he said (and it is not written in the screen what platebody or platelegs he is using)
not unless youre camping rune dragons or 1k+ kc vorkath. Fang is about 10 seconds slower than DHL on average at vorkath and is perfectly useable if you only want the assembler.
I think you could have gone into some more detail regarding how Strength, Attack, and Defense work. It might have been a bit overkill, but explaining how osrs rolls accuracy against defense rolls, what strength bonus (and other bonuses) actually mean, etc. at least in a basic way, would have gone a long way. That said I'd love to see you make an entire separate video on the nitty gritty of how combat works mechanically. Otherwise the video is great, as usual.
I had to rewatch parts of this so much to figure out why he said this was fkn easy................. So there's no explanation outside of "there are safe spots you can fire strike" I'm like as beginner as you can be, if you aint showing me I'm probably going going to understand. It's been great up until trying to kill this Ogre, he clapped my cheeks.
thanks nerd
Hahaha
Damn
Lmao
Lol bahahahaha best comment ever
Coming back to OSRS after 15+ years away from the game, this content is superb in helping me get back to grip with the game. SUBBED
Absolute legend. Welcome back!
Facts bro I’ve been using these vids to help me after about 10 years 😂
Add me quests33k3r. I played RuneScape classic as a kid gotta be pushing 20 years later I jumped back on lol
Exactly. After a liatus of 14 years, I'm so lost. Bosses and all 😂
Personally I just use slayer for training combat. Also fun tip use a menaphite potion with 5 seconds left on divine super combat pot to extend it by 5 minutes. They're cheap
You’re a G
I didn’t know that, thanks

I just did this with strength. I had 900 points just chilling from selling my void 😂
Great video! In the vein of "AFK experience with some profit", I just did a couple hours of mole yesterday to finish off an attack level. Pretty good profit per hour, little to no risk, and a pet chance on top.
I got the farming pet yesterday so that im sure ur pet drop was cool too.... if u got one that is hopefully u did

Just in time as I’m returning after around 5 years. Thank you so much!
as a new parent and working from home, NMZ is goated idc 😂😂
been waiting for this one bro not gonna lie these guides are clutch simple and easy
Is there really any point to getting the full Inquisitor's set at this point? Seems very, very niche at this point
I took my Pest Control points, sold all of my void, just to get like 750k+ strength experience which made the grind from 98 to 99 so easy.
Every 100 points at 98 is 61.6k experience and the points come so fast on the 3rd boat.
Do u think u could make an updated gear progression for all 3 combat styles guide? A lot of new gear has come into the game since then.
loooovee ur guides! and this just confirmed my training method for my new acc. Also there is Bandits at bebadin camp.. no aggro timer when wearing any godspecipic item. Did them on my main back in the days.. :D
Dudeeeeeeeeeeee now this is a video I've been waiting a loooooong time!! TYSM!

perfect timing. In the process of trying to work out a roadmap for my melee stats

Bro this thumbnail is stupid fire 🔥

Love ya for this!
thanks Kaoz, i was looking for answers to this today
Hello everyone, Kaoz here and welcome to another Old School RuneScape video.
The problem with ALL barbarian assault guides is that they already expect you to know what the items names are and what they do. They’ll be “go and grab the green egg and put it into the chamber” (haven’t done BA so idk the items cuz it’s been forever since watching a guide).

for training strength buy a saradomin sword, not worth buying the dagger..
Barely made a combat account after 10 years of being a lvl 3 skiller and this is real helpful thanks!
This one dropped just when I needed it 💪
this guide comes on a perfect timing!
great guide as always
Perfect timing bro, just made a bandos tank alt
Whats the melee gear order for base 82? Ferocious, prims, tassets, faceguard, chestplate? We're talking like 110M so most people are going to make incremental upgrades.

also granite longsword is worse dps than rune scim in I think every situation as it's a tick slower, hits 20% less often
Is granite longsword stronger then rune scimitar? I know it hits harder by a few points but rune scimitar hits more frequently.
Melee stats are currently 82 att 90 str 82 def. Thinking about going straight to 99 str but will getting 85 or 90 attack make much of a difference if it's mostly done through slayer since they generally have low defence?
What weapon should I be using to train strength at to 99 during slayer? I keep hearing mixed things about fang for slayer
Abyssal dagger is also very good
Bro was really wearing the max fire cape 💀
thanks!
was waiting for this drop
Bruh I miss munclesonkey so baddd. Good stuff Kaos, thanks nerd
Can someone please tell me the name of all items in the gear levels 82-99? English is not my main language and i couldn't understand what he said (and it is not written in the screen what platebody or platelegs he is using)
Does anyone know what song is playing around the 6 minute mark?
Thanks Kaoz! Fancy having a sneaky peak of my GIM series vidz? Trying to build my sub count ya know haha
I’d improve the video quality before I go asking bigger creators for views. The videos seem so low effort.
@@vt8414 thanks! Tonnes of effort and time goes into it but will improve I'm sure..
So rush bandos chestplate?
Maybe I missed it, but no waterfall quest?
*Me with 99 melee* Now what is the fastest way to 99 melee?
Could you do videos for Ironman aswell, they're a bunch harder to figure out on your own
Rigour or Fang?
why no fury at the gear progression recap? Its relatively cheap and 10x better than glory
would be helpful to know how to get to these monsters
Barrows can be done at a low level and you can earn 20k prayer
Is the DHL even worth getting if you already own a Fang?
not unless youre camping rune dragons or 1k+ kc vorkath. Fang is about 10 seconds slower than DHL on average at vorkath and is perfectly useable if you only want the assembler.
now we have Scurrius lots of xp/h and some mechanic training
What's this soundtrack?
I don't see revs with Mace and salve amulet
Something tells me I should maybe train via Slayer... hmmm
No mention of slayer helm?
That is slayer specific
I like doing crabs even though I’m 79 in my melees 😂 idc if anyone talks smack I’m already alone I don’t have friends 😢
awesome
May as well mention soulreaper axe its like 100m now
Did fighter torso on rs3 and isnt happening again for me on osrs... just use the obsidian chest, minimal difference
Great guide but it seems like this was only made to flex that baron drop.
Gonna die of old age before hitting 99 with my 70k/hour melee xp with whip and 6k Slayer xp/hour
Otherwise the video is great, as usual.
Black armor is faster at warriors guild if you are 65 atk 65 str
Optimal levels for raids 1, 2, and 3
Chickens from 1-99
"melee early hits harder"
*Laughs in cannon static 30 max*
F*** Yes!
I had to rewatch parts of this so much to figure out why he said this was fkn easy.................
So there's no explanation outside of "there are safe spots you can fire strike"
I'm like as beginner as you can be, if you aint showing me I'm probably going going to understand.
It's been great up until trying to kill this Ogre, he clapped my cheeks.
Good video, but I still prefer to lvl up combat in NMZ
Thats something a manco would say
But why would you call the bandos chestplate 20m? 😢

Hello, I'm an angry comment!
Slayer for melee under 90 str is not efficient. Not worth it
You have no idea how the game works lmao
anyone got a link to his discord? getting back into osrs and would love some help
Melee?
Slayer, if u dont do slayer, you suck.
