I just want to say big thanks to you Romney, a month a go I watched your channel and purchased a couple of your Udemy courses and it re-ignited my interest in Amazon KDP. As a result I now have 2 books on KDP (soon to be 3) that are selling (26 in 3.5 weeks, even though they are in competitive markets). It really has given me the momentum to keep going and I have 2 more I am working on. All of which are in the coloring, journal space (something I hadnt considered before watching your channel/courses). After losing my job this has been the perfect focus to bring to life what I hope is my new self-publishing business. I previously use platforms like Freelancer and Fiveer to find illustrators and had them sign a contract that ensured I had ownership of the illustrations. Only use reputable illustrators when creating your books.
I want to know about the ISBN you used. Did you buy it in order to bulk sell/ sell on other sites?
Yes, I purchased the ISBN via Bowker.com. As I own the ISBN I can then upload to whatever platform I like.

Im a current children's author selling on KDP but unfortunately if you want to make a kids book, IT MUST be 75 pages or more to qualify for HARD COVER and many younger kids books are not that last so its frustrating!
Yes, that’s why I publish the hardcover on Ingram and then link the books up so they appear under the same listing on KDP.

While creating a book on kindle . I only see few options like e book, paperbook, hardcover book. But let me know please how i can publish board book.
This can only be done through a formal publisher.

No, just a unique iSBN for each book you publish and it can’t be the free one that KDP issue you.
How do you sell all three cover types ie paper back, hardcover and ebook? I'm going through the process right now and as I'm uploading an e version of my book it's not giving me the options to include other types of cover. Is that done after the book is published or initially during the set up stages? Thank you in advance.
I set up my paperback and ebook on KDP and set my hardback up on IngramSpark.

So I need a course not how to publish but how to strategically market my children's books. I feel lost with ads and with the legalities with cross publishing at other places and whats the best strategy for that. Do you do any social media promotion? 🤔 I just created my first children's book inspired by my art students about color theory. I have made a bundle with a "coloring book" thats more extensive than that however I am not comfortable sharing more than that at this time. 😅 I know my book will be adored by children because my students LOVE them. ❤ I have made 200 sales in the first month just in the us but now im starting to fizzle out and I am now playing with adspace trying to navigate how it all works. All tips help (hard cover ingram to amazon was huge ty) I am just curious did you have to open an fba account ? Do you have a video tutorial for that? So many questions 😅
Not specifically a course on that as the key to my long term sales has been Amazon Ads. I’ve run a few FB Ads in the past. Hit and miss.

As I have over 20,000 students across my courses and over 20K TH-cam Subscribers I was getting lots of requests (up to 20 p/day) for this, so to help manage that, I just offer reviews of book covers to students on Udemy, Skillshare or Thinkific. I'm sure you will appreciate why I've needed to do that.

My question is what was your budget starting out? I have no money for Illustrations or keywordprograms and other software so is it even possible to get sale without any money in the first place?
You can use free tools to start but one of the critical factors is letting customers know your book exists! I had a starting budget of $200. It all depends on how much you want this to work? Scrimp and save what you can to invest in the right tools and you will be further ahead than most people!

Generating books from AI is all very new. You need to tread with caution using AI.

I sell on kdp but I'm only selling in the US how do I change that
Your books will also be on other marketplaces but you need to set up Amazon Ads and run campaigns in those other marketplaces if you wish to sell books there.
Can you recommend your illustrator to me..need an illustrator
I found my illustrator on Freelancer.com. I'm not in a position to provide her details and she has so many other projects on at present that she has a 6 month waiting list.

When you publish on all platforms should you publish under a new isbn or use the same one from kdp
You can use the same ISBN but it must be 'exactly' the same book. You can't use an ISBN for different kinds or even formats of books. eg, paperback version and hardback version.
