There were a bunch of these that never seen the light in theaters they were just made for TV
This one, Henry Fonda and the young Freddy Krueger in the Great Smoky roadblock, Willa,
Then another one that slips my mind with Kim Darby a very young almost Butch like Annie Potts and Fred Willard,
Ed if I remember right I think there was one called hijack with David janssen

Sappy saga poorly written corny dialogue patched up choreography some top talent from back in the day Brolin. Warren Martin Bryant Torn Frizzel Sloyan Griffen the Outlaw Truck the White Western Star would go on to be featured in Maximum Overdrive

This movie couldn't smoke Convoy's cigar without choking. That's how bad this flick was.

It was the same way starting in the mid-60s with trucking songs everybody was doing them even famous people just because it was the cool thing to do
