From internet movie data base: I'm biased. I was in it. I had 5 roles What an experience! I was in the movie with 5 roles. I'm the radio guy at beginning of the movie and the on camera newscaster are the end of the movie. I'm the silent, smiling cop inspector with Chuck Napier(my future roommate) and Sonny Liston. I'm the flamboyant assistant with the insane yellow/brown wig and 'stache as well. We shot most of it in Tucson and a little of it in El Paso. Great truck scenes and nice scenery. Muddled plot. Film had to be shut down til more money was raised. Egan wouldn't come back unless salary doubled. Napier became the lead. Action plenty, but, hard to figure out. I was assistant to director Parkhurst as well. I brought in Rosenthal, Bosnia, and pretty Pat Magrini for roles. The behind the scenes story is unbelievably wild. It would be a great book. (Oh, Ed Begley, Jr was on the crew and the sound guy, Keith Wester would go on to be nominated for 6 Oscars.) rogercg1May 22, 2020
Ya i was born in 65 so It was Nice to see the 70's again, that said I think i suffered Brain damage from the Plot. Do not get Me wrong ,I was not forced to watch ,I enjoy these actors i had known and it was like a time machine for me, so thank you for posting it.
Outstanding Movie of it's time My Uncle Started his Trucking a little Earlier, and they were respected as The True Truckers Thanx for sharing this Great 👍 Movie with us Never new Sonny Liston acted
I’ve been to the triple T a few times. According to old timers it was the place to be in the 60s-80s. Now it’s run down shell of its former self. To add insult to injury a flying J opened across the street and stole a lot of its business.
hello, charles napier movies are very much loved in turkey, he watches a lot, charles napier is very much loved himself, god rest his soul, charles napier has a very favorite movie, but this movie is dubbed in Turkish we want my movie to be called Moonfire 1970
Glad to hear that you are enjoying it in Turkey and that it's been dubbed into Turkish. Trucking on the open road is a sort of universal dream. Here in the UK there's nothing really in the way of wide open spaces and the freedom of the open road. We're too small and crowded. Best wishes.

I have been using that truck stop for many years and still do when I’m in the area. I started in the mid 80s when it was still fun. Going strong to this day, looking to retire soon though.
Somehow this movie was both terribly good and magnificently bad. Took me about 1/3 of the way in to figure out that the elder Mexican was speaking w/ a German accent which was fitting as this production was a blend of Hogan's Heroes, Convoy, and Lost in Space all in one film. Still, one of my favs when I want to reminisce about life in the great southwest - not that long ago.
Debra try turning your phone all the way off and on then log completely out of TH-cam then back in and try again. T hat should solve your chat issue. We missed you
1:06:22 fun fact, back in the old days, for six months of the year until 1986, and for five months of the year from 1987 to 1995, and all year in 1996 & 1997, it used to be an hour later in Juarez than El Paso. Until April 1998, when you entered Mexico you also entered the Central time zone.

so is your name 5 times in the credits for 5 different roles?

My Dad was a Trucker in the 70's . 😊 great movie Drive in Quality ...💯😉
You see a lot of cab overs . In this movie. Not to today
@@CueBallRacerloved the cabovers 🙏🏼💯🇺🇸☕️
Why you speak russian, a почему по русски?
@@CueBallRacer cab overs were a thing in the 70s and 80s in America, but faded in the early 90s (thank god)
Sonny Liston would die the year this film was released. RIP Champ
Thank you for sharing this awesome part of history.
This looks pretty darn good.

The "Action scene" with the bikers is pretty epic! Lots of dead-pan reactions and almost action!
Outstanding Movie of it's time

Thanx for sharing this Great 👍 Movie with us

No Oscars for the acting but this is the best! This is why I love old movies.😆👍🏻
Thank you for sharing this movie
I gave it a thumbs up. Good cast.
Thank you 🍿🥤🖖🏻🥃
All those classic cab over rigs. And it’s cool to see the triple T in its hayday.
Top it all off with some music from Marty Robbins, love it.
Nice film
Saturday movie night

The Triple T truck stop of Tucson Arizona has also appeared in White Line Fever in 1975.
The Triple T sucks. I've been there twice. Food was terrible, and so was the service. They did have beer.
@@geraldscott4302 Apparently, complaints about the Triple T are very common, especially that the service is incredibly slow and the food is very bad.

The soundtrack is groovy.

As a truck driver. That was hard to watch LOL
Great Movie Thanks was a bit sceptical at first but turned out to be a great movie and Worth Watching
A true masterpiece of a film.
Greetings from Pleasant Hill Missouri
Damn never knew Sonny Liston starred in a movie. Sad that this was only a few months before his tragic death...
The TTT Truck Stop is still standing! On Benson Hwy. in Tucson.
Much of it the same as it was back in the days of this movie. I used to park in their lot when I was trucking.
I have been using that truck stop for many years and still do when I’m in the area. I started in the mid 80s when it was still fun. Going strong to this day, looking to retire soon though.
Weird but good movie!
офигеть. этому фильму уже 54 года . 54 года назад его сняли!
Ну и что, старое всегда лучше новых ситрелялок и поцелуев каждый по пять минут.

Richard Egan is the lead actor in this movie, but he hardly in this movie?
This must be quite an early 'trucker' themed movie. Were there any before this ? ( I like 'Hijack' (1973) Adrian; UK/England
