Yknow what is the saddest part?
10 years ago we used to see the deep web as the worst of the worst but nowadays the surface web is just as bad. People literally commission animal cruety videos on discord or telegram, and these apps are available for everyone of any age, its genuinely depressing.

I agree. A lot of CP criminals never get harsh sentences and when they get out so many are left to do whatever. The case of Jacey Dugard is a perfect example. A pedo kidnapped her and kept her hostage for 18 years. Several times the Pedo's probation officer and other cops visited his residence or were called there and they somehow never found her in his backyard. It was disgusting. Him and his wife are rotting in prison now but it's another example of how these people get away with it for so long

This is why I'd be a total hawk of a mom when I have kids, I'm not going to let the internet in all it's disgusting glory mold my child. @@Robbie-mw5uu Glad you do that and I agree that the internet should be only for adults. Came across some really disturbing stuff even when googling the most harmless stuff.
Sadly this doesn't prevent it either; especially once kids get older and hang out with other people. And then there is
"social contagion". They see what other kids do, or even become friends with the wrong kind of people.
And also agree that schools suck too! Beside SA, there is also violence. Heard that people experience the most violence in their lives during their years in school (and someone that got bullied I can talk from experience here). And most of the stuff we learn there is useless and indoctrination.
I think it is mostly a societal problem. Notice over the time people have become more aggressive and stressed.

For the opening spiel, I feel like the CLEAR net has become its own rabbit hole for a lot of people, because most people just browse the same few websites, plus storefront sites. Just browsing outside of algorithms is becoming a lost art in itself, and a lot of the sites & communities on the surface Web just stay unknown now because they're outside of the social media & commercial spheres.
There are a bunch of Web forums out there like Agora Road or Cloudy Skies or Brahkie Boards that live like they're outside of people's reach, just because people don't really surf the Web anymore. You have like the sites on Tilde Town & NekoWeb, people link from indie-web spots like Neocities or Melonland that just lead you down a rabbit hole, or even old TH-cam videos like the VSauce "Do Online Now Guys" series just lead to places people don't really make the effort to find anymore. The people interested in dark Web browsing are probably growing that same sort of distance from the surface Web, so I think this type of thing can branch out from being solely about dark-Web finds.

It's funny. Snuff isn't the definition you used, but your not wrong. It's that the definition was broadened because the original definition outside of conspiracy theory conventions doesn't exist. The og term referred to a murder being committed & filmed for pornography to be packaged & sold. While plausible the reality is even the sleazy 70s porn industry wasn't going to do something that risky. As a porn producer of the time noted why would we take the risk & expense of murder rather than you know fake it, which would be cheaper & the customer would never know the difference.
But the concept of Snuff lived on both because horror films immortalized the concept & because while no one would take this action for profit, there are no shortage of sick people who film they're crimes. Then of course you have fatal accidents & news footage. While no sane man would risk producing a snuff film, if you wanted to see a human become a corpse the footage was out there already legal for alot of it.
    Then the Internet happened.
I explain this because I feel the Red Room has had a similar journey. Sure the actual idea as originally described isn't real or at least we can't prove it, but sick sh*t like absolutely. Just as serial killers made snuff real by filming it themselves the same is now true of streaming.

i remember when the SK gov took action on nth room, and it was before even nth room got in to the eyes of public through journalist that i started hearing rumors about "The Rooms" that existed not only in SK or JP even in multiple other countries and as the rooms are partial online or aren't even online it's near impossible to track them though internet.
Also the red rooms does exists, they don't operate how people think though there are so many myths attached to them, i haven't heard about HD streaming ones as that's probably a myth, but there might exist some with low quality streams, the ones i've heard about is "personalized videos" or "commission" under a time limit if you know what i mean, yes it is that bad
I forgot to mention its not limited to SK or JP, it exists nearly everywhere in the world

Saw that stupid tiktok shit with bears vs men and the women picking bears. Thought it was stupid but after seeing this vid I kinda can understand why some women would pick a bear over a man considering the worst a bear can do is kill them while a man can do something like this nth room shit...

Hard to listen to but if people are interested stephanie soo covered this and she worked with translators. It's very nsfw and can be more than a little upsetting.

If MUTA!!! Listened to Causal Criminalist, he'd know that Snuff films are VERY REAL, and have easily been around since the early 70s. Fucking ordinary gamers these days ;)

Another example is element/matrix. It’s similar to telegram as in its very hard for law enforcement to identify criminals. I remember seeing one room that was very obviously a CSAM room with 10,000+ users. It’s extremely revolting and sad. I’ve never heard anyone talk abt the problem before and it honestly feels like it’s just swept under the rug.
