Howdy ... this is Aaron from my other channel. I'll be posting from here now. I'm finally reunited with my ST205 and life is good. I had slapped-on new: banana arms, figure-8s, camber control arms, BC Racing coilovers, anti-roll bars w/ mounts and bushes and adjustable links, brake pads and right front wheel bearing as for suspension parts before I left for 2 years. Now it's time to dial it all in. Though the BC fronts have adjustable camber plates, the rears do not and at the ride height I desire I am a bit off on camber. Either I need adjustable top plates ... or I need to dig out the old set of camber bolts I have somewhere. But I digress. What I really wanted to write was my commiseration with your setback. I'm a long way aways geographically, but feel your pain. It's summertime and car show season. Not being in the mix so to speak is a certain kind of sadness. Keep doing the proper things and your ride will come along. Best wishes from the States. PS: I just now learned what faff means. Ha-ha. I guess I'll be joining the club! ;-)
Sounds like your having fun with it for now. Definitely can get adjustable top mounts foe the rears, I'm sure of it. Yeah, the set back is understandable, these cars are nearly 30 years old now so it's bound to happen. The guys are working wonders on it though, as always. It will be back soon and it will be a completely different car, really looking forward to it
I'm on lunch break at work and looked up the BC Racing adjustable top plates for the rear. Definitely preferred to camber bolts. My next purchase. Do you have an opinion on standalone ECUs? I am so tired of the stock JDM 3rd Gen 3SGTE ECU and want something ... different. I have an old Profec B Spec 2 EBC which is not hooked up at the moment but I want more than simply EBC.
My last 2 GT4 have been ran on link ECUs. Great amount of tuneability with them and get a lot of features. I've got a Link G4X and Mac boost solenoid on mine now that the garage are mapping atm.
It was an outer CV joint. I had the callipers fully rebuilt which then showed up this issue. They have replaced it all and greased it up and that seems to have solved it.
