Thank you Jamal. I’m still in disbelief that I will never hear a new song by this awesome man. RIP Toby!! I hope you’re drinking from a red solo cup while singing to the angels
I had never heard the song Don't Let The Old Man In. Found it on TH-cam and your right. I love the song. Voice, lyrics, instruments. The music videos of Mr. Keith's performances - A total package. Found myself watching videos of Mr. Keith's music, interviews, life. Thank you.
I remember hearing an urban legend years ago - I've never bothered to verify it, so please don't take it as fact - that one of the richest men whose name you've never heard was the guy who patented the plastic six-pack can ring. If that's not true, it should be. There's the old saying about building a better mousetrap, but that guy invented the mousetrap itself.
I am so glad to see you back to doing MUSIC! I think the story I heard about this song was some bet about being able to write a hit song in a certain number of minutes (5? 10? 15?) and sure enough, he won the bet. He was the last in-person concert I recall going to -- it was about twenty years ago, give or take up to 2. Rascal Flatts was opening act and were still quite new to me at the time. Never in a million years would I have imagined he'd ever go before Willie (not that I want him to go anytime soon either) (speaking of those two, if you haven't reacted to Weed with Willie...give it a go!)
Thanks for your reaction, Jamel. Toby Keith was respected across genres. He was/is a staple in my collection. This loss really stings, not just for me and my fellow Oklahomans, but for his fans all over the world. I'm so glad I saw this in my feed. If you want to see another side of TK, check out his tribute to another Oklahoman, his friend Wayman Tisdale. He was a basketball great turned Jazz musician. It's called Wayman's Song/Crying For Me and I would love to see your reaction. Have a great weekend Jamel ✌️
I hope Toby brought a lot of solo cups with him for all those up there waiting for him to have a huge party. I love this. He was so great!! His humor was just the best.
The Solo Cup Company used to be located in my neighborhood and just about EVERYONE in the area worked there at one time or another; mostly just out of high school. Fun times.
Toby is from my hometown ❤️🤍💙 All of his successes and he never moved out of The Moore/Norman area. Our last big Tornado, 2013, He put together some big names, to help the town with cost. A true American Hero 🙏🤍😢Would you please react to Toby Keith "Bullets in the gun" "American soldier" and "crying for me". His song "crying for me" He wrote about his friend who was OU basketball legend when he passed away. I really hope you will thank you so much. I always enjoy your reactions.
I would absolutely love it if I could be there just to see the state he loved so much and called home. R I P Toby I’m so heartbroken and we’ll miss you so very much 💔🇺🇸🤠❤️
Toby Keith had so many great songs so whether you need to hear something heartfelt, patriotic, romantic, sad, melancholy, inspiring, thoughtful, or just plain funny, yeah especially funny, then Toby’s got what you need. My favorite songs by Toby Keith are Who’s That Man; Wish I Didn’t Know Now; You Shouldn’t Kiss Me Like That; He Ain’t Worth Missing; We Were In Love; Upstairs Downtown; Don't Let the Old Man In; How Do You Like Me Now; Made in America; I Wanna Talk About Me; American Soldier; Trailerhood; A Little Too Late; A Little Less Talk and a Lot More Action; and of course Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue. RIP Toby, we miss you!
Toby Keith was brilliant in way he marketed himself. A mastermind. He literally was globally popular and he was smart enough to put out what a array of people were looking for to feel good. Which everyone can relate to. Wanting to feel good. Like a literal musical version of a dose of dopamine. Brilliant mind.
Thank you for reacting to this. It's one of my favorite songs. I gotta think that Toby Keith had one hell of a sense of humor. You should also check out some of his "bus music" ... songs like "I'll Never Smoke Weed With Willie Again", or "The Taliban".
My late sister used to love to drink and party. My ringtone for her was this song. Miss you every day sis. And Toby Keith didn't want to do this song when he first read the lyrics because he thought it was stupid. But his manager talked him into it.
It is just a fun little song, like you said, to play in the summer at a picnic or at a party. Thanks for playing and giving tribute to Toby! He has so many great performances. RIP!
Cancer got my mom December 2018. She freaking loved this song. We don't drink, or party but agter this song we ALWAYS had red Solo cups in the bouse. We had heard Toby before with Should've Been a Cowboy but it wad my obsession with How Do You Like Me Now that got my mom into him too.
A few years ago my granddaughter was at our house and I’m not sure why but for some reason we were in my husband’s bar (his “man cave”). Anyway, I opened a cabinet and she took a second look and said “that’s a red solo cup”. I said “yeh it is”. She looked up and started singing “let’s have a party”! Every time I see one I think of her and Toby Keith and I smile.
This is one of his best songs, it's hilarious. He had a lot of funny songs. He also had very patriotic songs. He loved the country and our military. It's so sad that he's gone. This one is hard.
It's a song that everybody can sing the chorus when they are drunk. You're absolutely right...once you hear this song, it's a guaranteed play at every house party forever.
KOCO TV 5 from OKC ran a story earlier today that at the OU vs OSU Bedlam basketball last night (Sat Feb 10) the entire arena (fans from both schools) drank a toast and sang this song at halftime of the ball game at Norman.
Brother, we can disagree on our basketball teams but I wanted to thank you for reacting to this and giving TK some love. He was a great artist and an exceptional human being.
This song was written by two sets of brothers (the Warrens and the Beavers). Toby heard it and said, "It's the dumbest song I've ever heard, I have to record it. But only if you guys are in the video." You need to watch it a few times because there are things you miss during the party that are hilarious. The cameo of stars include: Craig Ferguson - late night talk show host that was hilarious ( up there with Carson) Carrot Top - comedian Roger Clemens - baseball player Lance Burton - magician Eric Church - country musician Joe Nichols - country musician Jimmy Houston - fisherman Jeff Dunham - comedian/ventriloquist (must see Achmed the dead terrorist) Sammy Hagar - rock musician (solo artist and also lead singer for Van Halen) (must listen to solo song "I can't Drive 55") Ted Nugent - rock musician and gun rights advocate (must listen to "Cat Scratch Fever")
Toby Keith said was the dumbest song he ever felt compelled to record! The USA's iconic red solo cup! Keith was an iconic country singer. Mr. Keith, thank you for years of playing the soundtrack to our lives😢😢!!!
I'm listening to this for the first time. I've heard a few of his songs, but not this one. Going to check out your next one (I Love This Bar) next. That one I have heard. Thank you as always for your reactions.❤

Love this, thank you for doing this. I couldn’t Hit the subscribe button! You are more engaging than other “reactors”. And of course, very respectful to Toby - may he RIP My ex hates country music but to this day he’ll call me up to blame me for this song getting stuck in his head at the most random times lol😅
There's supposed to be a rivalry basketball game against the OU Sooners and Oklahoma State coming up. They're going to serve beer in red solo cups in honor of Toby Keith. Toby was a HUGE OU Sooner fan. Always at the games of all sports.
The musicians around him when he's outside in the chair, are the guys that wrote the song. The Warren Brothers on the left and the Beaver brothers on the right. I think this is the only hit of his that he didn't write. He was an incredible songwriter! R.I.P. Toby!
I had heard somewhere that Toby was bet that he couldn't write a song about the Solp cup. So he did lol. I think he said in an interview that they had an all call for people to be in the video and they all brought their own crazy - ans they were plastered by the end.
Oklahoma has put up several billboards with just a red solo cup with RIP Toby Keith. We loved our hometown boy!
Deservedly so, your boy was awesome! A real man and a true patriot. 😢
I saw a picture of one. So cool! ❤😢
Toby was THE MAN! Prayers for he and his family. He WILL be missed! Love him and his music from the beginning!

Sooner Nation has really been doing a great job paying tribute to TK. More to come as football season rolls around in the spring...
Rest in Paradise Toby Keith 😢
Thanks for paying respects to Toby Keith
yes.....i was hoping he would.
♥️🇺🇲👍💯
It will be a crime if they don’t play this at the superbowl tomorrow, with Toby Keith passed just a day or so ago.
They won't. The NFL is woke, they don't like what he stood for country and the military.
Name wasn't even. Mention.
Thank you Jamal. I’m still in disbelief that I will never hear a new song by this awesome man. RIP Toby!! I hope you’re drinking from a red solo cup while singing to the angels
We shall never look at a Red Solo Cup in the same way again! We Love ❤you Toby! You will be Missed 😢
his performance at the music awards singing Don’t Let The Old Man In is heart wrenching

i’m glad you looked it up and enjoyed the song. i absolutely love the song
The Red Solo Cup was invented in 1970 by Robert Hulseman. The Dart Company owns the company now. It sold for $1.6 billion in 2018.
I remember hearing an urban legend years ago - I've never bothered to verify it, so please don't take it as fact - that one of the richest men whose name you've never heard was the guy who patented the plastic six-pack can ring. What a fun song! Thanks for the giggles. R.I.P. Mr. Toby
I will never look at those cups the same way. Whenever I see them this song plays in my head. 💜✌🏼👵🏼

I love it. 💙
There is a Christmas version also!
Makes me so sad that he's gone. "Should Have Been a Cowboy".
Nugent and Toby were great friends and fellow Patriots.
And sammy the red rocker.
Four writers wrote this song. Toby thought it was silly. And, in his infinite wisdom.... Recorded it.
RIP To mr Solor Cup also. Toby has another song called In the Tailer Hood. Its an awesome video too
Now do Whiskey Girl 🎉 lots of fun songs from Toby
We would buy a pack and wash them after use. They held up for several washes. Great reaction brother.
There's supposed to be a rivalry basketball game against the OU Sooners and Oklahoma State coming up. They're going to serve beer in red solo cups in honor of Toby Keith.

That was the only song, I think, that he didn’t write. He said it was so silly, lol. But what a fun song! We lost a legend, a great American Patriot.
