I had this one and the spectra s2. I prefer the Ameda Mya over the spectra. I didn't really like the suction on the spectra. Ameda's suction was better for my needs also I prefer being able to walk around with a small piece. The Ameda piece fits right in my sweater and robe pocket, so I was able to do more stuff.
I wish I had known that there were different sizes when I had my first child. I think things would have gone much better if I had known that. Now I know and hope to be more successful this time around.
Do you know if the AmedaMya will work with Freemie cups? Or any other wearable pump cups? I saw on a website that it’s not, however the parts are so similar to Spectra that I wonder if it actually will?
Hello, I would like to see a comparison between this and the baby Buddha. Since they are both portable, life time ? Falange, can it be replaced with one with soft ends? How do you find out what’s your size? Would it be like just tryouts and error? Thanks! Love all your vid they are so helpful!!
Please make reviews of the ameda mya and the medela pump in style max flow 😊 can you also compare the two pumps for us ♥️ greatly appreciate your videos!
Hi! Are the silicone valves supposed to have small slits at the top of the duckbill valve? I noticed it after boiling, which is what the manual instructs to do before first use
Is amenda maya breast pump components( duck bill valve, flange, tubing) similar to spectra S1? Also is suction on Ameda maya similar to spectra s1? Thank you. I’m a first time user and not sure about breast pumps which one I should get.
I have a strange question, Do breast pumps expire? I have been using my spectra 2 pump for almost a year now and wonder if I should be replacing it. Ty
They definitely do loose some effectiveness over time. I think most factory warranties go about a year? One good pump should last for 1-2 years though. I wouldn’t replace a pump at a year just because unless you think it may be giving you some problem. It’s a good idea to get a new pump every pregnancy though as they do wear out a bit.
Aww thank you for pointing that out! That is the name of the pump, BUT, here’s the thing. That term really has lost all meaning. Any company can put that on their pump, there are no guidelines for criteria a pump must meet to say that about itself. So... no this pump is not even in the same ballpark as a “true” hospital grade pump like the Medela Symphony (a $2000 pump), nor in my option in the same category as a “hospital grade pump” like the spectra or Medela pumps. Does that clarify at all? Perhaps a video needs to be made on this topic!
@@NewLittleLife wow i didn't know that! Thanks for the info! You should definitely make a video about that! it would be super helpful to new and confused moms like me hehe! :)

I actually really like this pump
Wow it’s true, in US it was rebranded to Ameda Mya, the original brand of that breastpump is Cimilre F1 which was known as the sister brand of speCtra
This is the best pump! I love everything about it and it’s amazing to travel with in the car.
What do you think of this vs spectra s1?
Hi .. Could you please tell me whether the flanges are made of silicone or plastic?

The chargers for the Ameda Mya and the Spectra S1/S2 are identical and interchangeable.
And so are the parts! So cool!!'
I love this one i get a similar output as i get with my spectra.

I have both and the Ameda is more powerful
Yes please !!!
My box did not come with its own nipple for the bottles. I had my spectra bottles, thankfully those worked on Ameda’s.
Hi dear Swathi
I need to ask you a question
Are the flanges made of silicone or plastic?
Is this compatible with Ameda Hygienkit, I.e. the old Ameda kit.

No, these two pumps aren’t very similar.
Can you make a video on how to wash it ?
Have you used it and how does it compare to Spectra S2?
What is the size of the flange that comes standard with this pump?
Could you use medela pump in style advanced parts with this pump?

Is this a noisy pump
Is it really hospital grade strength? 😱 if it is I am sold!!
Did I say that in the video? It’s definitely not..
@@NewLittleLife in the title of the video , but thanks for clarifying!! Btw i love your videos! Super helpful!! 😊♥️

Does that hurt or uncomfortable when using the Mya?
Not that I’ve noticed!
Can you use freemie cups with ameda Mya?
Yup!
@@NewLittleLife thank you I got mine. Thank you for the help
Freemie cup compatibility?
Yes! No problems there.
@@NewLittleLife Can you do a video demonstrating hands free w this pump, baby Buddha, bella baby, etc using freemie or spectra cups?
Yes! In March, I plan to do a bunch of handsfree videos where I’ll try the freemie and hopefully spectra cups with all 20 of my pumps!
Does anyone know if freemie cups work with this pump?
I have the same question
You bet! Definitely will work, the tubing is very universal on the Ameda Mya.
I hate this pump! The battery doesn’t even last. I left it fully charged in my bag and the next day it was 1/2 drained
Not my favorite pump either 😕
@@NewLittleLife why is this not your favorite? What do you dislike about it? I'm just looking into it, thanks.
Poor battery and weak suction mostly
