Hi Alex. Loving your posts ! I live in Allestree, Derby and there are a few of us in the Derby area at the moment who are swapping our course fishing gear to try to get into sea fishing now. Have had some success on the Mersey so far but its a big learning curve !. Its just a shame we live about as far away from the sea as you can do lol ! Maybe set up a Derby sea fishing group lol 😅
Hey Alex, hard fishing and luck. Give it another month and you will be catching good cod. Bristol Channel is awesome for cod in the winter months.nice ray though.
Easy alex you ok pal, nice one for another vid to watch. Lovely markings on ya wee thorn back. Are You happy with ya new vass gear?. Mine are still going strong. I do wash mine down with soapy water when cleaning my shit down though. All the best alex from G.Y
You definitely need a beater rod down the side just off the rocks big catfish hooks big bait 150lb mono pully rig big gripper lead 8oz so doesn't move much leave whole tide till taken with your other rods fished as you did
These flat conditions we've been having for a few weeks have really turned down the fishing. Less chop means less oxygen in the water hence less fish. Northerly winds tomorrow so hopefully it'll help a bit.
it used to be good for cod but those days are long gone does not help with the work at hinkley point no luck alec with a unicorn then better places to go on bristol channel upper reaches not fishing well
Nice one mate. Fish or no fish, I could have sat and starred at that view all day. Just beautiful 👍🏻
It was such a peaceful day mate, great for the soul.
Thanks Alex.
Tight lines, Take care
Nice one Alex you got your Ray and some monster whiting. Looking forward to the next one.
Thank you for the session, at least it wasn't raining and blowing a gale. Good quality camera on your phone. Looking forward to Pt.2. 🧔 👍

Nice little Thornback. A good end to a very tough session. We all keep going for the next mark.
