80 after a 10 is something I’ll never experience
It is hard to come back from an 80. However, Nelly is still probably the best golfer on the LPGA. That is saying something. US OPEN courses have made some of the best golfers in the world look bad. Nelly was probably in store for a slight bad run after a huge winning streak. It is hard to be perfect in the US OPEN. It may be that Nelly was trying to hard to be perfect. In the US Open you usually have to try to hit to avoid the worst trouble. The rough can be thick. I remember one fairway at the US Open at the Olympic Club that was so sloped the ball would run all the way from the top to the bottom rough. If you started at the very top of the fairway, you might only go into the light rough at the bottom of the fairway. Otherwise you were in trouble. I wish Nelly the best. I saw that three shots in the water hole. For a moment I was wondering if she was playing Augusta (#12 I think or the 17th -- a par 3 island at the the TPC Sawgrass). Good luck Nelly. It may be possible to come back because the course can be truly outrageous. If you don't come back, you are still great.
She needs to understand the US open is a different animal. You're not going to over power their golf setup. She'll learn. It's ok to make a bogey.
what amazed me about her from the video is she never breaks or smashes the clubs unlike most of male golf stars would do in that freaking situation. that's mental.

I guess all things ccinsidered with 7 shots lost on one hole an 80 isn’t crazy bad …. But how does someone who only hits it 240 miss fairways that much 😆

Welcome to the big league Nelly
Like Tiger, whose strategy is to skip tournaments and be selective which ones to play, Korda needs to rest and time to recoup. Any human can ultimately breakdown due to stress, pressure from public and media and self imposed unrealistic expectation. Just relax Nelly, enjoy your achievements, and take some time off. We know, you are a talented golfer. Allow your mind and body to relax a bit.

a little confused here, does it just depend on the course or what bc i swear ive seen players who go in the water around the green like she did out of the bunker they get to drop where it crossed in, which would be on the same side of the green right? why did she have to cross the creek again snd hit those other shots that led to her 10
There is two different way of penalties, depends on hazard types(red mark , yellow mark).
That's one hole over seventy two holes that's golf she might not win this US open but she will win the US open in the future
