Every other character in the show also had unprofessional flaws. Thats what makes the show so great. But it's not smart to hate Jan because she was the "villain" of the show, or how she was portrayed with Michael

That episode starts with Dwight's fire drill, then proceeds to the first aid course where he dissects the dummy. The rest of "Stress Relief" is really mediocre, but those two scenes combined with the meetings with David Wallace in between are pure, comedic gold.
Technically he would have had to have four, because the last sNiP sNaP is him getting a vasectomy, and in the last episode Pam talks about all his kids lol😂😂
Jan absolutely was meant to be a net negative character. However, the writing made it apparent she was a wounded creature. Melora delivered a great performance.

The first few episodes of the US Office I thought I’m never going to get in to this, as I had loved the UK office, but I have to say it was no time at all before I was hooked. They developed the characters so well. I have now watched the whole lot about 8 times over and will continue to until my dying day. So many laughs.
100%. She was horrible. She's a nut job too. Michael wasn't horrible, he was just ignorant. He had a good heart, but lacked any self awareness. He's actually loved very much by the whole office and this comes out a ton later in the show.
