yeah, and it gave away the fact that this was set up. The cat's obviously been doing this for a while so he decided to make a funny video out of it. Still funny, but not what he claims it to be.

My Cat did this too (God rest his precious soul). He'd also fetch marbles and released it in an open hand. I never taught him these "tricks". Cats are just smart!

I loved this and go back to it every once in a while. Don't understand why people are so riled up about how the camera or whatever was used. Who is watching cute videos just to critique the camera and camera man?

My cat did the same stuff. We had to replace the handle with a knob to stop him from getting lost in the garage every day.

For anyone who's thought of trying a cat door, be aware it usually takes some training. I've installed them on two separate occasions and found cats can be highly suspicious of them. Treats help and working with them, in and out. Once they get the hang of it, they usually love it. Although there are a few drawbacks.
One is that you have a lot more trouble keeping track of them-- they may soon become elusive and that's not good if you want to know that they're okay.
Plus, more than cats might use them. Raccoons have no trouble; ground hogs and possums have also been known to go through a cat door. How would you like to wake up to one of those critters in your house?
And then there's the intrepid cat, who isn't afraid to bring his kills right through the door to you. I once found HALF a bunny on my bedroom floor. Ewwh! So there's that.
I did find it a good way to protect my cat from predators, though. Ideally, you can put in a cat door to a porch or other anteroom (mudroom, garage, etc.) thus, they are out of danger (and bad weather) but your house isn't a target for any other animals or their kill.
Smart cat. I bet she also flushes the toilet when she's done using it.

Other stray cats, raccoons, possums and any animal that can fit in the cat or dog door when they smell food. My ex girlfriend had a cat door installed and she saw a big stray cat that wasn't hers eating her cat food while her cat was hissing at it in the middle of the night and she tried to get it the stray cat out and the cat bit and scratched her up and she had to get a painful rabies shot just in case the stray cat has rabies. I also heard on the local news one time a Alligator came in someone's house thru the dog door :/

Damn, Philo looks so much like my Smudge I looked to make sure he was still there. My cats will not use the cat door to go out only to come in, cat logic. Staff must open the door for them.
