  • The Tallahassee Police Department offers in-person Ride Alongs for citizens, in addition to monthly virtual Ride Alongs. This month's virtual Ride Along features Sergeant Damon Miller and our Midnight Southeast Patrol Squad's calls for service. Enjoy the ride as Sergeant Miller interacts with the community early in the evening, and then responds to several unpleasant scenes throughout the night.

There’s reasons for taking a driving test and having a license so take the test and get one

I love this video and I like how sergeant miller and the other officer handled the situation, with the kid running off on his bike. I was thinking to myself dang dude didn’t know any better, is there anyway he could get a ticket and be released or something, cause I thought this was a case of felony evade and eluding law enforcement, thankfully they released him to his family.
I pray when I get into law enforcement I handle situations exactly like this.

Sucks to be in Florida. Ridiculous to be arrested for part of a pipe. Where I live you would have been given a ticket for paraphernalia.

This is a problem with the police. What could you possible find in her car that is to connected to an expired tag. This is no such thing as a consensual search, they are al coerced to some degree. We need to stop the police from even asking this. Polices should have to have probable cause and in most cases a warrant to search someones car.

I disagree...driving is a privilege and not a right and the cops should be able to search any car if they suspect wrongdoing.., IF you've done nothing wrong, you have nothing to worry about.

@@dogloverjb6873 Who say's Driving is a privilege. Only the cops, The DMV and people stupid enough to believe the police know the law, or would even tell them the truth if they did. The fact is, there is not a single state law, code or statue that states that driving is a privilege. But that is another very long argument that is bound to be settled in the US Supreme court n the near future. But, whether or not driving is a privilege or a right has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the police's right to search you or your property. The fact that you have to have a license to do something does not give the police the right to search you anytime they want. If you believe that is the case, you don't have any understanding of the forth amendment. If you believe that the cops should be able to search anyone's car that they suspect of wrong doing, then you are a MORON. please don't have children, we don't need your DNA in the gene pool.
