Quite silly actually considering Christianity is the youngest religion that steals traditions off others for itself. True “Demonology” is the understanding of such, & knowing all is equal.

I agree with you. I actually almost stopped watching TFIL and OVERNIGHT because of him never wanting to participate in the exciting once in a life time activities. Glad he is trying.

I'm honestly so proud of Matt for protecting himself and his friends. I love that him and Corey have their faith close to their hearts too and pray out loud and as a fellow Christian really hold Matt in a high regard for not opening one of the boxes and didn't attend the full box opening night too

It was awhile ago I watched that video.) Then a video or two after that, Elton said in the intro that Evan wouldn’t even let HIM see the notebook so we should all pressure Evan in the comments to show the notebook, but they never did, and most people have forgotten about it now. the thing is...while it WOULD be incredibly unfair to force something like this upon Matt....the group is ALWAYS aware of things like this. It's all just a bit, and one would think you'd catch on to that. Especially by now...the group knows to expect such "extreme" methods and objects, etc. They know. It's TO BE EXPECTED. They're friends with Elton, they know how he is, they know how far he's willing to go...etc. Elton's not going after the demonic - he's looking for undeniable truth. Same, but also because I’ve had my own encounters and my husband, who converted to Christianity, used to be a shaman, I am very aware of the danger Elton is playing with. The thing is…if God wasn’t protecting them…they’d be dead. The problem is that I don’t know how long it will take before God loosens his grip due to their persistence…especially Elton.

One thing that does bug me about Elton is how nonchalantly he messes with the demonic. It's dangerous stuff and I almost feel like he doesn't completely understand that. Either that or he doesn't care which might be worse. I hope he starts to come to his senses a little bit and come back to a healthy sense of caution around the demonic or at least more respectful of the rest of the group's boundaries regarding the demonic
It's because he doesn't really believe in demons or God. He's said it before. Only the other do. But he should really respect their beliefs and boundaries.

Concept: Elton, without a doubt, is either possessed or has an attachment. He's going to need medical and psychological evaluations before they even begin to exorcize whatever it is he's picked up. The man is literally obsessed with evil now and fixated on dybbuk boxes and other evil activities and paraphernalia. His endless desire to touch the shadowy realm only proves the ever-increasing hold the dark entities have over him and he's determined to drag his friends into the malevolent mouth of destruction. I feel, too, like Corey also needs a thing, a rollout in the subplot. Corey and Elton are essentially opposites (think the Jedi and the Sith). One is frightened and one not at all therefore they should balance each other out and create plot harmony so, when Elton collects a possession/attachment, essentially Corey must somehow be the key to saving him. It’s a rough subplot yet, but fine-tuning will work it out.
The true marks of a man, when we dee something for the first time and it intrigues us we become obsessed with getting MORE and that’s how individuals start black magic and start wanting to gain more knowledge from ancient evil entities. Which is probably why Elton has the box and dolls. I don’t think he’s necessarily possessed but maybe obsessed with gaining more knowledge of the paranormal. He’ll take them far with that drive but it may back fire in the end
Umm, I just think he's having fun. He knows how to get a rise out of everyone and I think he's just loving it and possibly learning more for the sake of knowledge. Don't think it's anything spooky.

It's not Matt, he is just shook and said what as to comprehend what he just heard. If you wear some headphones and raise the volume up you will hear a low volume "what" between 28:35 and 28:36. It's not a whisper but it's like if someone said it away from the camera's mic. You really have to pay attention to pick it up. I too didn't grab it the first time but on my second listen i picked it up easily.

Leave them candy , soda , beer, smokes , toys , ALOT of stuff to make them see we aren't mean we are wanting to play with them , talk with them , to visit and give them joy while we are there. Same, but also because I’ve had my own encounters and my husband, who converted to Christianity, used to be a shaman, I am very aware of the danger Elton is playing with.
The thing is…if God wasn’t protecting them…they’d be dead. The problem is that I don’t know how long it will take before God loosens his grip due to their persistence…especially Elton.

One thing that does bug me about Elton is how nonchalantly he messes with the demonic. It's dangerous stuff and I almost feel like he doesn't completely understand that. Either that or he doesn't care which might be worse. I hope he starts to come to his senses a little bit and come back to a healthy sense of caution around the demonic or at least more respectful of the rest of the group's boundaries regarding the demonic
You are forgetting he was possessed, and on top of that, he was willing to be possessed so because he didn't want to force the others to do it
It's because he doesn't really believe in demons or God. He's said it before. Only the other do. But he should really respect their beliefs and boundaries.

Like I feel like he would actually need to see a full bodied demon to actually fully believe. That’s why he messes with anything and everything.
Concept: Elton, without a doubt, is either possessed or has an attachment. He's going to need medical and psychological evaluations before they even begin to exorcize whatever it is he's picked up. The man is literally obsessed with evil now and fixated on dybbuk boxes and other evil activities and paraphernalia. His endless desire to touch the shadowy realm only proves the ever-increasing hold the dark entities have over him and he's determined to drag his friends into the malevolent mouth of destruction. I feel, too, like Corey also needs a thing, a rollout in the subplot. Corey and Elton are essentially opposites (think the Jedi and the Sith). One is frightened and one not at all therefore they should balance each other out and create plot harmony so, when Elton collects a possession/attachment, essentially Corey must somehow be the key to saving him. It’s a rough subplot yet, but fine-tuning will work it out.
The true marks of a man, when we dee something for the first time and it intrigues us we become obsessed with getting MORE and that’s how individuals start black magic and start wanting to gain more knowledge from ancient evil entities. Which is probably why Elton has the box and dolls. I don’t think he’s necessarily possessed but maybe obsessed with gaining more knowledge of the paranormal. He’ll take them far with that drive but it may back fire in the end
Umm, I just think he's having fun. He knows how to get a rise out of everyone and I think he's just loving it and possibly learning more for the sake of knowledge.

It's not Matt, he is just shook and said what as to comprehend what he just heard. If you wear some headphones and raise the volume up you will hear a low volume "what" between 28:35 and 28:36. It's not a whisper but it's like if someone said it away from the camera's mic. You really have to pay attention to pick it up. I too didn't grab it the first time but on my second listen i picked it up easily.

He’s the most annoying one. At least he stopped being terrible to his friends after we all called him out on it for years & years.
If I was with you guys on these overnights I would bring gifts for kids , adults, elderly. Leave them candy , soda , beer, smokes , toys , ALOT of stuff to make them see we aren't mean we are wanting to play with them , talk with them , to visit and give them joy while we are there. That's what I would do.
