I waited a few years between reading them and I wished I had reread the space between worlds beforehand! I still REALLY enjoyed it but there were some characters i thought i should remember and just didnt lol
to piggyback off @rubyread, I listened to the audiobook of space between worlds because it had been a few years since I read it physically and I'm really glad I did!
They did better with female representation in the old andromeda strain movie. One of the main doctors is played by a woman, and she steals the whole show. I was really disappointed to discover that she was a man in the book when I finally read it. Lol. Technically Andromeda drain is considered one of the first thrillers as far as genre is concerned.
