I agree. I have a weak wrist due to an accident I had a few years ago. I use ordinary kitchen knives, my chef's knife being my favourite. The secret is keeping it sharp. I use a steel to sharpen it every time before I use it. That round thing looks downright dangerous.

You can also get that funky stuff out of the bottom of glass bottles using Efferdent of all things lol! I have it for cleaning my retainer but I tried it on a bottle on a hunch and it totally works!! I’ve used it on a few other stains since then, too! Hard water stains is a big one! Coffee & tea pots, mugs, all bottles bc why not take it off your bottles just bc you can’t reach it? Warm water and a couple of those things, swish it around for awhile and it’s like it’s brand new! 🌈🌟
So funny and informative. The TENS pen is not meant to be a relaxing massage type of treatment. If you were to use it on muscles that are stressed and tight the sensation is different. It is to help relax muscle spasms and atrophy. Love your wit and very helpful info on these products.
Hi Lisa, I'm glad you put the fact it's not s massager out there. When many people use a TENS unit for the first time, they have no idea it will actually shock you. The electronic pulses aren't really a comfort, but is effective. From V's description, however, I think I'll try it. I like the fact you don't have to use sticky pads and it's portable. I bought one, my dad bought one and a friend brought one. Not from the same place. All the keys had the same number and all the keys fit all three buildings. 😬
I had that circular knife. It was extremely sharp but... you have to dismantle it to clean it. Water and soap do not get in the enclosed part. It was a challenge to put it back together. I ended up throwing it away!

I have psoriatic arthritis. Holding on to the samurai knife would hurt me more because of the button even if it's not hard. Plus you may have less wrist pain but it will be worse on the elbow and shoulder.

I have been boycotting Amazon for a few of years in favor of boosting smaller companies' sales. It's difficult, because I live in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, and some vendors won't ship here, only Amazon. But, this is how I do it. I find the products I like on Amazon, copy the description, name of item, size, manufacturer, and paste that in a search window. I find other vendors and even the producer of the item and buy from them instead of putting my pennies into Bezos' pocket.
I use a T.E.N.S. Unit fairly regularly. It isn’t meant to give instant relief. It is for muscle pain and, more importantly, muscle spasms. It sends small electrical “signals” to a tight, painful muscle that is creating spasms, to stimulate the muscle. When I used my t.e.n.s. unit, I generally feel the effects of it the next day. It is a very powerful device. The Rocket Pen seems a little dicey to me for folks who don’t know how a t.e.n.s. unit actually works. However, I get such severe muscle spasms in my back and torso sometimes, I might actually like that pen!
Today, my sister and I were both using our Artic Air Freedom in the heat and humidity of summer. We were still sweating, but that nice flow of air helps keep us cool for a little longer. I've seen people working at Home Depot, Target, and warehouse stores wearing it. If you can't have a fan at work having a fan around neck helps. A cool neck gaiter, wet yoga towel made of shami material, and other stuff is great too.

The reason the TENS hurt you is because you might not have nerve damage where you were testing it. I use it on my lower back, right elbow and left shoulder but barely feel the high level I only see the muscle reaction but when I put it on my right shoulder I feel the intensity at a medium level. I think it should be used under medical supervision so people don’t unknowingly cause any nerve or muscle damage.

I have a wilton's melting pot from Michael's that I've used for YEARS to melt chocolate bark to dip pretzels for Christmas every year. It has a pot with a handle. That's what I like about it better than the Nostalgia pot.

I had a “mezzaluna” which is similar but had dual blades. Once while prepping for a get-together, I saw something falling off my counter and went to grab it. Several hours later I left the emergency room!
I used a tens unit in physical therapy. I wouldn't use that. The physical therapist explained that it needs to be mirrored on both sides of the painful spot. It isn't relaxing. It's electrocuting your muscle and basically confusing your brain to scrambled the electrical impulses that are causing pain. The spasming muscle relaxes because the pain moved. Basically, it's stepping on your foot to get rid of a headache. But it allowed me to actually move my back during physical therapy.

Be careful when using a tens unit, it's suggested to know what your doctor or physical therapist says is best for you to use for intensity. Too much can cause nerve damage.

The locking "prescription bottle" is meant for keeping controlled substances and strong, valuable-on-the-street meds from thieves and those who shouldn't have access. I think the bottle could just be stolen, smashed open and that's that, so between that and me not having young kids in the house anymore, it's not something I'd buy. Who knows if in the future they'll be required for patients on certain meds to get though.

Food doesn't get stuck. You can flip the cutter to remove any food. But I never had food get stuck.

I have a wilton's melting pot from Michael's that I've used for YEARS to melt chocolate bark to dip pretzels for Christmas every year. It has a pot with a handle. That's what I like about it better than the Nostalgia pot.

I had a “mezzaluna” which is similar but had dual blades. Once while prepping for a get-together, I saw something falling off my counter and went to grab it. Several hours later I left the emergency room!
I used a tens unit in physical therapy. I wouldn't use that. The physical therapist explained that it needs to be mirrored on both sides of the painful spot. It isn't relaxing. It's electrocuting your muscle and basically confusing your brain to scrambled the electrical impulses that are causing pain. The spasming muscle relaxes because the pain moved. Basically, it's stepping on your foot to get rid of a headache. But it allowed me to actually move my back during physical therapy.
I told them not to use it on me anymore. I was in pain for 2 days!

Be careful when using a tens unit, it's suggested to know what your doctor or physical therapist says is best for you to use for intensity. Too much can cause nerve damage.

From one Vivian to another, I just watched you for the first time and enjoyed your " show" trying out things for the first time. You're quite funny too.
The locking "prescription bottle" is meant for keeping controlled substances and strong, valuable-on-the-street meds from thieves and those who shouldn't have access. I think the bottle could just be stolen, smashed open and that's that, so between that and me not having young kids in the house anymore, it's not something I'd buy. Who knows if in the future they'll be required for patients on certain meds to get though.
I found that my safe that I got at walmart for $25 works great. so just spend the extra 10 and get something that works.
Sometimes I have trouble if the top is faulty. I'd rather not have childproof anything. I'm in my 60s and live alone. No need.

Most childproof prescription bottles have the option where when you turn them upside down, they're no longer childproof. Hope that helps.
Most 'childproof' bottles should be named 'adultproof' can't open them things.
Hunh. My husband’s grandparents couldn’t open those childproof bottles. After he was three, they handed the bottles off to him so he’d open the bottles for him!
