I prefer this type of style instead the 1th Bloodline one, because this one is more soft, "femenine" and beutiful, like the night, the name is perfect. The 1th Bloodline music was more focused to be vicius, with more evilness, like Jeanette...
This is amazing, and it was perfect atmosphere for the trailer! There needs to be an extended version, because my only complaint is that it isn't long enough.

I really hope that Rik Schaffer is still involved with the ambience music for Bloodlines 2, I still listen to the soundtrack almost daily.
Brilliantly atmospheric. That flared synth drop in at 0:50 gives me vibes of cyberpunk and neo-modernism, translates to me that at midnight the world opens up; the city my playground. Takes me back to how I always wanted the Blade franchise to read, Neolithic horror blended with a technological world. Blood dance less as a rave and more of a symphony. Sexy track. Spotify me... Vocals in the chorus kill me, like sirens of bloodlust.
Yeah, I would love to hear more gothic and dark vibes, but knowing today's "culture" we won't get much of that. There is so many great Dark Wave artists that would work much better for such a game.
I agree. The song is nice! I really REALLY wish they'd get Lord of the Lost to write a song for this game. Chris Harms is a genius and would make something SO epic. If I had to give the game developers advice, I'd tell them to talk with Gothic magazines like SonicSeducer and get a view on what's the most current Gothic artists of today. Maybe have bands like Blutengel, Diary of Dreams, Auger, Wisborg, and Ludovico Technique included in the same soundtrack.
Seattle has a robust goth community and the overlap with the VTM community is real. Definitely need to embrace those origins ... put in a goth club or two so i can awkward dance in the game and I'm in heaven 💜
Paradox announced since 2018 that the Gothic was dead and they were dropping it from WoD, so, don't expect much on that aspect on any of their projects, only other dark trendy rhythms and aesthetics.

Great song, great atmosphere. I doubt there will be another game quite like Bloodlines 1. In general but especially in terms of its music. Times have changed. Those people dancing in club Asylum? there were many actual clubs with that dresscode back then. Different times. Now, Bloodlines 2 seems to be carving its own path for 2024, which is great. Hope they go all the way and make something unique.
No doubt a cool song. I get they're going for a "New Noir" aesthetic, but I hope they don't forget this world is meant to be horrific. There should be horror elements and remember how much sense of paranoia the first Bloodlines had. It was feeding off all that Y2K + post 911 sense off doom. You really felt you were in a wrong world, familiar but wrong. Like wth the commercials, the late radio show, the jaded NPCs and like a doomsayer on the street in front of a burning pile of garbage screaming at everyone. I hope they can pull off that same sense of dread here. That game felt like looking at it from the eyes of a Malkavian, this song is a bit too "Toreador" (pretty), perhaps? So, maybe crank up the Gothic-Punk a little bit more?
Then Gehenna was approaching. Now it has come. It seems to me that the aesthetics of the new noir should be the first violin. The times of the 80s and 90s are over, and so is gothic punk.
Times have changed and so will the atmosphere of the new game have changed with them. Making a new game with the same 2004-feeling might easily feel out of place or anachronistic to most players today.
Have you watched any Film Noir? The genre was created post WWII as the embodiment of the collective mourning and futility the entire world felt. The glittering musicals in marble halls no longer resonate as people had endured true horrors. The atmosphere of Film Noir is unmistakable using fog and shadows to create a sense of dread. I like to think of it as 1950s Gothic. I'm happy they're going with this direction. Anyone wanting to get into Film Noir should check out 'Scarlet Street'. The ending is insane.
So many people already complaining how it feels wrong when it comes to WoD setting. But Vampire is not only this gritty, bloodied fight in dirty city streets - it's the politics of elders spanning for centuries, the society of intrigues and alliances, corporations being a front for undead players (and worse threats, such as in Pentex example), art of Torreadors, Malkavians and Tzimisce encompasing being sometimes more dreadful than gory violence of Brujah or Gangrel. This is definietly in line with the true source material, VtM tabletop RPGs.
Personally I think this is perfect. It's mellow, dark, and has a feeling of eternity from the slow cadence. The altered voices to sound slightly inhuman pushes into the uncanny valley a bit, making it sound beautiful with a hint of a creepy during the chorus too. I love this song and think it's a good fit for a game where the hero is an elder.
And that's before you get into more subtle and unsettling terrors like wraiths, as seen in the famed hotel sequence of the original Bloodlines. I never felt more helpless in that entire game.
Is it "in the ashes of you," or the "ashes of yew"? With Yew being the tree of the dead and all, could be thematic. And Yew grows in Seattle. Otherwise "pulls me closer to you" and "in the ashes of you" back to back is kind of awkward lyricism, I think I am buying into the play on words here with it being you/yew.

To me... this song expresses melancholia, the chill of late dusk during fall, secrets hidden and looming conspiracies, and most importantly a lot of beauty. What would it really feel like to be immortal, or to then experience a hint of death only to be dragged back into the fray yet again? I think I can hear a bit of fatigue in there... like the song itself is a sigh, but also an appreciation of "un-life". We don't yet know if the game will be what we want it to be, but I disagree with the people saying this song doesn't fit VTM. I think VTM thematically works with a lot of different related but distinct moods and atmospheres. Everything's not going to sound like the same interpretation you've seen before, and most likely, even if you got it you wouldn't actually want it by the end. You have to reinvent to make something authentic. We're not the same people we were 20 years ago; to pretend otherwise is not the way.
And THAT feeling you're speaking of seems like a comment on the WOD fandom itself. We've all gotten older, the world has moved on, so how are we adjusting to both of these things? It's hard not to see some ugly parallels to way too many comments on here and the myopic attitude of Kindred Elders afraid of losing control.
I didn't expect this to be as good as it is. I think it fits perfectly with the tone and mood V5 seems to want, and even if I'm not really a fan of V5 (I prefer V20) the quality of this song alone makes me look forward to VTMB2 more. Plus hunger dice, the single mechanic keeping me from V5 in tabletop, won't be a thing more likely than not in it
I liked more the music from the original first trailer before the studio was changed, but this is a good song no doubt. Is there any way to get the music from the Original first trailer?
For this game? Not yet, but if you want some recent good music related to WoD, you can listen the soundtracks of VTM Shadows of New York, Coteries of New York and Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Heart of the Forest.

I think it fits perfectly with the tone and mood V5 seems to want, and even if I'm not really a fan of V5 (I prefer V20) the quality of this song alone makes me look forward to VTMB2 more. Plus hunger dice, the single mechanic keeping me from V5 in tabletop, won't be a thing more likely than not in it
please.........just make the game. It always looks great, it always sounds great, i just want a solid 3/5 game at least.
I liked more the music from the original first trailer before the studio was changed, but this is a good song no doubt. Is there any way to get the music from the Original first trailer?
Have they done other songs 🎵
For this game? Not yet, but if you want some recent good music related to WoD, you can listen the soundtracks of VTM Shadows of New York, Coteries of New York and Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Heart of the Forest.
So will be this released as a cd or in bandcamp?
Any update about the links??
Wait for the game to release is my guess @@RayneYoruka
@@Abdalhakeem707 Sadly there is no other way xd
God I hope they reign it back in and do it more like the first VTM:BL
Stunning piece of music. Very tense and atmospheric. I love her voice. The video picture also fits perfectly.
Is this song on iTunes?
I enjoyed it, thank you!
Eh... Feels like a pop version of what it should be.
This is lovely. I hope the devs continue to pursue a coherent, compelling vision for the game, even if it differs in some respects from its cult classic predecessor.
I'm still waiting for this to drop on Spotify and other music services so I can listen to this while exercising without the need of YT.
Geez, even music releases are slow.. :p
