Well Done on your first 94.7 Cycle Challenge as that time is brilliant, mine was 6h25 last year. Last year's heat was brutal at 11O'clock it was 41° hence this year the accelerated starting times, you and I were in the same starting batch JJ I was on par to match your time until 200 meters into Hyde Park Hill my hamstrings decided to seize up, last year it was my quads that disappointed me. Well done once again as people in our batch were expected to finish between 5h10 and 5h19 according to race organiser times See you next year but you'll be in a much higher batch next year because of your Outstanding finish time PS: Your watch is correct it is 98.4Km not 97Km
Hey Roderick, thank you so much for this comment 🙏 I really appreciate your words! Hyde park Hill was a killer for me as well, I walked some sections and felt like I was wasting so much time 🤣 you did well considering your hamstrings were giving you problems 💪 see you next year 🤜
Loved the video! Great first time doing the ride joburg, can definitely be proud of yourself! Last 10km's were probably my hardest part of the race and the heat on that day was scorching, i was lucky enough to start in an earlier batch and didn't feel it as much but i felt bad on my walk back to the car for those still riding as i was dying of heat. Keep it up!!
@@MuscleMindWorx Looking at doing the 70.3 too and then full ironman the following year. That amazing looking forward to seeing you document your journey there!!
