      Should be easier on the m35. These cars electronics are very sensitive when it comes to power. A bad battery will have it going crazy. And just for maintenance purposes, change your camshaft position sensor soon. The always go out and may damage your motor. Happened to mine.
      I will be doing a suspension kit video soon.

      @@remy.a._ exactly what made it take 6 hours was it getting the other stuff around it off or fitment issues?

    • @remy.a._
      @remy.a._  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tarriouscarr2503 it was fitment issues and working around the tight space. At some point even thought we ordered the wrong alternator. Being my first time working on a car could have also contributed to that lol.

      @@remy.a._ why does it make that noise ? What does that mean ?

    That was a good alternator. Voltage was above 14.

      That waz the white infiniti reading 14v.
      The black car was holding 11v

      @@remy.a._ Makes sense now. I didn’t see another reading besides the 14V. I will be replacing mine on Wednesday. That makes for the video.

      @@remy.a._ I did mine today without taking out the fan. I just made room by removing a few brackets and squeezing into tight spaces.

    Great video. May I ask what the symptoms were that caused the changing of the alternator? Were you having intermittent push button start issues by any chance?

    • @remy.a._
      @remy.a._  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      At first the car wouldn't start and i could hear a clicking sound anytime i pushed the start button. We tried jumping it with a battery box and it would run just fine until we disconnected the batter box from the battery. It struggled to stay on idle and would sometimes shut off.
      Replaced the battery and still experienced the same problem and that's when we figured it could be the alternator.

      @evanjohnmo 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@remy.a._ Good idea for sure. When you replaced the alternator did it seem to help? Did it stop the clicking sound?

    • @remy.a._
      @remy.a._  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@evanjohnmo Yes. It did help. Been driving it for 4 months now and haven't had any problem.
      I just have a little idling issue which i think may be the spark plugs going out. Will be changing that this weekend.

    • @remy.a._
      @remy.a._  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@evanjohnmo The clicking sound is common when it comes to low battery. It basically is the starter trying to get some juice but not getting enough.

      If it's convenient for you, take off the radiatior as well during the install. Gives you more space to maneuver the alternator out and in to place. Be careful with the wiring harness as well(if its in the way). They are very delicate and could cause alot of problems.
