Great video, thanks! I had scheduled a tire rotation for our Model Y at 6,286 miles, as per the user manual. The Tesla mobile service tech showed up and verified our thread depth was still 7/32 and even everywhere - so he suggested we do not do the tire rotation and check again in 6,000 miles. He said on AWD vehicles, there is less of an issue of uneven thread depth and a tire rotation is not required as often. After checking the tread depth was 7/32 and even everywhere on our Cybertruck tires, I decided to also not do the tire rotation as well.
That’s good input, and I may consider delaying my next one as well if the difference between tires is pretty even. It’s a good bit of work if there is very little difference from tire to tire! Thanks for watching and for the comment!
A 20V 1/2” impact would be great. I love my Dewalt 20V tools. Are there any impacts that you can set a torque value for it to stop at? That would be cool! Doing final torque on all the lug nuts with the manual torque wrench is tiring. 😆
@@TeslaSpaceNerd I hit it a little with the impact and then take it to spec with a clicker. The model I have knows how to stop reversing once you get the lug nut off and has a quick pause between spin on and impact. It's a little weird at first but awesome once you figure it out.
The frame is so rigid that I was able to get the front right side high enough to place the jack stand by only lifting from the front left and back right lift points. Could save a little hassle in the future by buying a 3rd floor jack, but no I never lifted from anywhere except the designated lift points. Good question though, and thanks for watching!
I would like to know if you accept product promotion videos. We are a company focused on the Tesla aftermarket and would like to have professional KOLs experience our products.
I am willing to take a look at what you would want to send. I don’t want to make any modifications that can’t be reversed back to stock. Do you have a list of items I might be able to choose from to check out and do a review video?
😂, yeah sorry. I guess I could have converted some of my units. I did mention Newton-meters when talking about the torque wrench. And used a 21mm socket. If you haven’t seen it yet, search for the video “SNL Washington’s Dream”. It is hilarious, from the show Saturday Night Live, and pokes fun at the random units and measures the US uses. It’s worth a watch. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Thanks for that input. I’ve had a couple of questions about the Jack stand, and to be honest I didn’t realize I had not captured any video of that part of the setup until I watched it back after it was posted. Basically, the Cybertruck is so rigid (other Teslas are also) that you can jack up two opposite corners, and that front side without a Jack will be off the ground as well. I just lifted the jacks enough to fit the jack stand under that open corner and then slightly let some pressure off that side jack until the corner with the stand was resting on it. That put it pretty high up, so that’s why I had to crib it a couple inches with the wood pieces so the stand wasn’t at its limit on height adjustment (they can be a little wobbly when at full extension, so I don’t like doing that). Thanks again for watching and for the comment!

seem like you have so many great tools, you might want to grab a 1/2" impact too...I love my Dewalt 20V one.

@@drummermiller cool!
Great video.
Thanks! I appreciate it! Thanks for watching also!
Great tips, thanks.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!
I wonder why the rear side wheels produces so much rust compared to the front.
No idea. I’m ready to get my wheel covers! Then I won’t have to look at the rusty holes. 😂
Thanks for watching!
Nice wrap,too!
Thanks!!
How did you get the jack stand under the lift point without jacking the frame on a non-lift point?

@@TvibexI replied a few days ago ago that I would be willing to do a review video, but just didn’t want anything that requires permanent modification

You Americans need to use metric, its lots easier.

Wish you showed how to setup jack stands and removal, very thorough and informative video otherwise!
