I just ordered one! Thanks for the video showcasing this wing! Coming from years of kiteboarding it's the first parawing I've seen that looks like it flys as I expect it should. So excited to get my hands on this parawing!
Yew! Sign me up, this one looks way more suitable for our conditions and I love the color coding of the lines & leading edge. In a year or two we are going to look back on how primitive these parawings are and wonder how anyone used them 😂
Hope you get to review the NEW Ram Air Parawing from Triple 7. I’d be interested to see the difference between the wings you’ve already tried and the wind range of the triple 7 being a ram air kite/wing.

@@JulianPerth it feels like there’s more grunt but it could just be that extra .2 in size. The main difference is how much you can extract from it because it’s so stable, it flies so well, it doesn’t collapse ever, and the upwind riding is so much easier
@@michaelkihn8311 the belt I’m using is from my BRM but it feels small for both the BRM 4.0m and the Flow 4.2m. There’s no adjustment needed to the belt. It comes ready to go. The Flow belt is slightly bigger which makes it easier to stow
Nice informative and action review, thanks ! Surprised you didn't fit harness lines straight away in these overpowered conditions. Ideas for points to review for next session, in hopefully less wind : - wind range - upwind ability - ease of launch on the water / relaunch Oh and by the way, reflex is a foil profile (mostly visible at the trailing edge) routinely used, for instance in paramotoring wings design, it sort of auto-stabilizes the wing in the pitch axis. But that must be no easy feat to implement on a single skin. Judging from you experience, it works well ! Did you get other sizes from Flow ? Cheers
@foilratvids Thanks in advance for that 😊 So there already is a whole range, nice ! The Ensis Roger is a 3msq only, and the three Gong models are still at the developpement stage. In my view, a 15-25kts wind range already is a pretty respectable one, getting really usable and on par with classic wings. 👍😎

How did you like the 960/135 combo in those conditions? Always hard to tell butbthe bumps didn't look big. Was that combo hard work, pump wise? Stoked to see a new brand parawing, and Aussie too. Wicked. Cheers for the video
The 980/135 combo was awesome in the bay. Bumps weren’t moving too fast so the 135 tail was helpful. The 120 wouldn’t have been enough this day. I still want to compare the 135 with a 142 or 150 shimmed with a 0.5. That can also work really well

Absolutely! It goes better upwind than the BRM 4m. The BRM is very erratic, and has a very sensitive bar. Very little input and it’s all over the place. These Flows are so stable in flight which makes getting up, cutting upwind, jibe, tacks heaps easier. They feel a little bigger in the hand (it’s a 4.2 compared to a 4) but that’s not an issue as it still packs up nice
Seems like the goal is to get up on foil then not use the parawing at all. Which means you would rig same foil as you would use with a paddle and full size DW board? If so then the main advantage is you ride a smaller board and no paddle up? I get the upwind angle is nice but still probably 1 hour of trucking upwind for 20 min of downwind? As in… not that fun to do an upwing/ downwind
When conditions are right I can ride a smaller board than a normal DW board. My 85L board has been my go-to when the wind is ON. Also I ride smaller foils than what I can paddle up. So the advantage there is to do your downwinders with gear that would be impossible to paddle up. I’ll have to do another upwind/downwind video to revisit my numbers but yesterday I did an hour of riding at my local spot and two short legs was getting me great angles upwind to do a 200m run in a good wave section. Did 15 rounds and was pooped. Best time ever
@ ah I see the change in mindset… with SUP DW I’m focused on acing a run by trying to get longer and longer runs before I fall or come off foil. Upwind to downwind could be looked at more like self tow to surf a nice long run, but more focus on turns or fun vs just focus on distance…. I’m tempted now.
@@JasonKadlec for sure. I don’t care about acing runs anymore. The challenge is to push turns and use that energy to stay on foil with minimal pumping.
@@toddn4813I think the BRM belt is way too small… I’ve spoken to Flow and theirs will be a bit larger which will make stowing easier, even with a smaller parawing.
