THIS is the tutorial to follow for learning ZBrush
to those coming from Maya (at least from what I've gathered as a Maya user myself), the thing to note with ZBrush- outside of how clearly unintuitive it is- is how you can't truly be precise with this program. i absolutely love how clean Maya gets down to a single vertex (probably because things like mirroring demands us to be precise from the start), but Zbrush demands us to be loose and uncommitted to our geometry. it's like you have to let go and discover the final result (i guess like real physical painting/sculpting in a way). that's been a hard thing to process throughout watching this entire tutorial

I would like to say this tutorial series is perfect for anyone who wants to learn z brush. I also came from different resources, but honestly I found this best. Micheal gives you very clean information about z brush. The tutorial is also very good for mid level artist who wants to sharp their technical knowledge. Thank you so much, Micheal.

In order to see the green Y grid, make sure you select the Y icon inside the Floor button

a tip : you can watch series at Flixzone. Me and my gf have been using them for watching a lot of movies these days.
