My dad and I had a large collection of shilling coins back in the 60s. One day, we found out they were gone when my grandmother took them all to pay the gas bill.
I have the 1937 proof of this but it's recently been ruined by one tiny spot of green corrosion, stray cough at some point? :( Very disappointed, luckily not overly expensive to replace.
