As you sit and listen to Mark defend ETH's job after this, just remember Mark unironically believed Manchester United would WIN the CL this season. He said this despite knowing who the manager was and the players we had.
If you go from believing we can win the competition, only to come 4th in a favourable group, then the manager has to be blamed and his job is clearly untenable.
ETH spent weeks saying he needed a left footed player at LCB as an excuse for his ego trip with Varane and then tonight kept him at LCB while Evans played RCB. A lot of people don’t wanna hear it but Bruno ruins the team. It’s not just his attitude but he loses the ball too much. Either a terrible pass or a terrible shot. Occasionally he’ll slap a beauty but most of the time he’s a losing factor. Either way he’s way too risky. If you watch him play he goes into strike pushing our strikers out of their position. His attitude stinks. Complaining at the players constantly when they make a mistake but takes no accountability when he makes a selfish play and skies the ball. Onana was a mistake. As was Antony. Currently as was Malacia. Currently Mount was a mistake. Amrabat we can’t be sure on yet. His transfer choices are not the best. But he has no DoF. No capable ceo. No backing other than his own mind. His tactical input is solid and his detractors (from the playing staff) are over-ego’d failures who have shown their stripes under numerous other managers. Keep him and give him the opportunity to rebuild under a proper structure. Sack all the less interested/egomaniac players off and start with a group who he can trust and develop.

All you had to do was look at Inter's defensive record before and after Onana to see that their defensive success wasn't down to strictly him. He's been at the same level for about 3/4 seasons now, no massive growth and has a few howlers in him

@@nexus4289 That doesnt excuse Onana being poor for United. The year Onana started for Inter they conceded the most goals they had in a season since like 16-17. He should not be conceding some of the goals he has in this campaign if he is to be taken as a top class keeper

Also think Ten Hag jumped the gun on getting a new keeper because nobody else was in for him his season. Should have spent it on another midfielder/defender than got a keeper this summer.
@@nexus4289 maybe Serie A is not as intense as the PL, however Onana mostly impressed in the CL last season. I don't think that the league comparison applies here. And I don't even think that the transfer was bad on paper. I guess Onana just failed to step up psychologically.
