Have had mine removed in the US and then in DE and can confirm the experience was quite different. However I never got the "high" you see in videos from the US like that - there was far too much pain and anxiety! Maybe the US just needs to update its technology or methods because the wisdom teeth extractions in DE went smoothly, without being heavily medicated.

We don't use nitrous oxide/laughing gas in Canada, we get a few shots of local freezing anesthetic to get teeth pulled. I wish we used laughing gas, I had an infected tooth pulled 2 weeks ago and the freeze didn't work because the nerves were exposed, I felt everything. Doc said if it didn't work he would postpone the extraction for 2 weeks and put me on antibiotics but I was in too much pain and lied about it taking effect, halfway through he realized I could feel it but he had to finish. I felt like a woman giving birth except it was my face that felt like exploding, I didn't care that I would feel the tooth being ripped out, just wanted it out. There was no laughing afterwards.
