#gi Wire is used for applications that demand longevity. These are #mildsteel carbon or high carbon #steel #wires, which are coated with #Zinc, so as to impart the base wire with superior #rust resistance properties.
The #zinc #coated #galvanized #wires are highly resistant to Moisture and mechanical damage (than other surface coatings), and have a very bright and smooth surface finish.
Hot Dip Galvanized Wire (G.I.)
#HotDip G.I. Wires of consistent mechanical properties, uniform zinc coating, and bright surface finish. Zinc Coating is done through the Hot Dip Galvanizing process.
Diameter 0.30 MM to 5.60 MM
Standards IS:280-2006 ; IS :398 /and Strictly as per Customer requirements
Zinc Coating 20 to 300Gsm/SqMtr
Coil Weight 25 to 250 kg(depending upon size)
Electro-Galvanized Wires (G.I. Wires)
Electro-Galvanized Wires are also known as Cold Dip Wire. On these wires, zinc coating is done through electrochemical process and can be produced with narrow diameter tolerance.
Diameter 0.18 MM to 7.20 MM
Standards IS:280-2006 ; IS :398 /and Strictly as per Customer requirements
Zinc Coating 5 to 40 Gsm/SqMtr
Coil Weight 25 to 500 kg (depending upon size)
