Jason, just watched your fall food plot video, wanted to know your opinion on liquid lime? I am at the stage in my life that I can’t lift a ton of lime per acre by myself.
Question: How are you mowing in early June? Planting in the spring after first frost is typically May 24th weekend or into the last weekend of May, first week of June. Growth in not above ankle deep until early to mid July. Will fall food plots work in Huntsville, Ontario area? we are growing zone 4B.
I have a disk harrow and rototiller. Does it matter if my plot is not super flat like you would get from the rototiller? Will the uneven soil affect the seed to soil contact if I don’t use the rototiller?
I used my Harrow with the teeth down today to remove alot of dead thatch however I did not plant today could I use it again on planting date teeth up and still get the same results? I’m planning brassicas
Why don't you incorporate the fertilizer into the ground when you add it? Won't the fertilizer evaporate off if it sits on the top of the soil too long if you spread the fertilizer after the seed?
I'm not trying to answer for him but I'll share how much I use. I mix at 2.5 ounces per gallon in my 26 gallon atv sprayer, so 65 ounces total. It has 2 spray nozzles which spray a width of 10-12 feet total. I try to drive 4-5 mph while spraying. When I spray my 1 1/4 acre plot I'll use most of the tank. There will only be a few gallons left in it. Hopefully that helps.
Came back to watch it again I love watching them a second time so I can pick up on what I missed great video
Pretty much...... this guy is the best food plot planter ever....
I don't know about that, but appreciate you watching!
I got my tall tine tubers in the last week of July and is about 3/4 of an inch today, looking good.

Great video! Truly shows how hard work truly pays off!

Careful mowing in June, early July. Fawns and turkey poults are in the high weeds that time of year depending on where you are.
I harrowed first gave it a couple weeks and sprayed, gave it another 10 days and sprayed again then seeded.

I planted my first food plot last year and only thing I did was throw fertilizer down and it grew perfect

It’s August 26th… too late to start this process in Michigan/Ohio? Am I better off waiting till next year? I’ve only mowed the area so far. Thanks
Can you spread lime and spray the same day?

How much Glyphosate do you need for say a 1 acre plot? Is there a ratio chart I can view?

No need to disc just drag and your not disturbing the seed bed brassicas only need seed to soil contact saving yourself a bunch of steps
