  • Venezuela’s Supreme Court validated Nicolas Maduro’s election win in the country’s recent presidential election, securing him a third term ending in 2031. Despite the ruling, which was the result of an electoral audit, the United States and the right-wing Venezuelan opposition continue to claim election fraud and refuse to recognize the validity of Maduro’s win. Zoe Alexandra, co-editor of People’s Dispatch, joins the Freedom Side Live to discuss the ongoing efforts led by the US to intervene in the election and undermine Venezuela's sovereignty.

    Electoral politics is not democracy. I find it to be idiotic. When there is clearly interference on the domestic levels and especially by the international levels. When people who have control in so-called economic levels can manipulate the process. Where they can use media and other channels to game the system. This example of Venezuela is yet another nail in the coffin of so-called electoral democracy. When coupes can detract from actual real democracy that serves all, as the collective populations are the countries. When a few can serve the purposes of economic criminals, who truly seek to rule. The cabals of sadistic perverts who want the liberty to commit whatever their whims dictate at any time or situation. These would be Neo Feudal Rulers, who would be masters of all. Who have never grown up to be rational and logical adults. Who would seed their perverse selfishness to trickle down into their common populations. So they can seed their diseased existence. And have the violent reactionaries to defend these devils of chaos. To continue to rule and direct their future ability to have the care free leisure fulfill their every want and whims. And we allow these sadistic vermin to continue their chaos and crime sprees. While we call for blood within our own communities. For doing oftentimes less or even imagined crimes. While we ignore or bitch about crimes that come to light of our rulers and the chosen representatives in the electoral politics. An illusion that we are only now starting to question the legitimacy. It is utter nonsense as I see it. The process becomes more important than results and actually serving, the collective people who are the country.

    • @markmahan38
      @markmahan38 11 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@trishasuttles yes there is. But 1st we must acknowledge that we are the country. We are the engine, foundation, and backbone of what a country is. We must know what community is. We must stop looking to others to solve things. We must pool our knowledge, skills, intellect, and combined labor. And see it for what it is. We rise together collectively or fall in division collectively. A community is a collective. A team that works to a central goal. Money or other forms of exchange that profits a few and allows control for the few. Is the avenue for dis empowerment of the many. It makes us subjects of the few who would be rulers. We box ourselves into the metaphorical bandage and jail ourselves within the confines of that illusion. It is we who provide all of the private profits that gain control for the few. Our acceptance of the ideals of our ruling class is what allows them to control us and box us in. Their control is air without our acceptance of the system they profit from. Which is control of the systems.

    But has the government shown the voting tallies? They haven't and they won't, becasue they lost. The opposition had electoral witnesses across the country to post the tallies from their voting centers into a website where people can check the result in their respective voting center with their national ID number. The result? The opposition won by a landslide majority if 71%. This without taking into consideration the 5 million Venezuelans in voting age who lived outside of the country and where not allowed to register to vote, because of course, why would you vote for the regime that forced you to leave your homeland?. Meanwhile, Maduro's government claims that they couldn't show the tallies because of a cyber-attack from the US, however, they still claim to have won. How can they say they won if they can't access the tallies? To add-up, the numbers released by the government don't even add up to 100%, among many nuances with the result they announced. International observers were not allowed to witness the election process. This is simply a matter of looking at the poll results and comparing them with the results given by the government. There's not only a slight difference, but an abismal one. All of Venezuela is united against Maduro and his regime, and that's the reasong why the millitary has shown great violence to Venezuelan people who have protested demanding their voting rights to be respected. The number of deaths and kidnappings grows every day. And Maduro just proudly announced he was building two labour camps for his dissidents. This channel is just left-wing propaganda and is supporting an evil regime that has destroyed my country and the lives of millions.

That's the result of many generations of people accepting colloquial meanings pushed by anti-democracy right wingers, including those that have left aesthetics.
    If the people (demos) are not ruling (kratos), meaning that they make the decisions, then it isn't any democracy for the people. I don't care how "free and fair" the elections are. Oh people, we are your sisters, by God 😭😭😭 We do not even find a loaf of bread inside the house that would satisfy you, oh nation of Muhammad. People are brothers. Oh God, make your righteous servants subservient to us. Oh God, make your righteous servants subservient to us. My appeal to every Muslim, oh Lord, if he sees this message, may He prolong his life, make him happy, and cover him. May God reward him. God is sufficient for me, and He is the best disposer of affairs. There is no power or strength except with God. Oh people, oh nation of Muhammad, oh people of goodness, oh people of mercy. We are your sisters and your children. By God, we do not even find a loaf of bread inside the house that would satisfy you. Oh nation of Muhammad, I only spoke out of extreme hunger and distress. My mother, sisters, and I are displaced from our homes because of the war. We are in a state that no one knows about except God. God is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs, against those who brought us to this state 💔💔 By God Almighty, I only wrote this appeal out of extreme poverty and poverty, oh people. I beg you by God Almighty, Lord of the Mighty Throne, that I do not have food at home. By God, my brothers and sisters have been sitting around for two days. Without food, by God our situation is very difficult, we are 6 people in the house and my father passed away and there is no one to support us and we live in a rented house and we cannot pay the rest of the rent. I am not lying to you nor deceiving you nor cheating you. I am a Yemeni girl displaced because of the war between me and my family over a rent dispute and the owner of the house. By God, my brother comes every day and humiliates us and talks about us and wants us to go out to the street because we are unable to pay him the rent. The neighbors saw us crying and talked to the neighbors again and gave us a deadline until the end of the week and we swore to God to let us out of the street now we are in arrears of 45 thousand Yemeni riyals for 3 months rent may God have mercy on us our country is suffering because of this war and we do not find our daily sustenance and we live my mother and sisters our father passed away may God have mercy on him and we do not have anyone in the world to come to us in these harsh circumstances my little sisters went out to the street and saw the neighbors eating and stood at their door giving them even a piece of bread and by God in whose hand is the heavens and the earth they closed the door and kicked them out and they came back crying dying of hunger no one has mercy on them and now the holiday has come back to me if no one of us helps us with a kilo of flour by God we will die of hunger brother I seek refuge in God and then in you and I want your help for the sake of God I ask you by God you love goodness and help me even if it is about the rent of the house send me a WhatsApp message on this number 00967717415667 and ask for my card name and send it and do not delay may God compensate you with all good My little sisters, look at their situation and help us and save us before they throw us out into the street and humiliate us or my family and I die of hunger. There is no real independent country here in South America. Unfortunatelly, US has a lot of allies in the region by bribing or collecting criminal documents to force them to cooperate with the US in these countries. Also, there is the middle class od the region which is pro-US too. So, it ia very hard to act independently here because it can cost a lot. Not to mention the judicial setor which is under the US wings either by gifts or by bribery! So, when a politician walk out of the US path, these guys act to prevent it to happen.

      @@tonymazi6783 I think suspending elections is different to not having term limits, but it's not unheard off to postpone elections during national crisis/emergencies like a war for example. It's happened in New zealand where elections were delayed for 2 years during WW2. Personally I think term limits are a good way to prevent one individual holding onto and accumulating too much power until they become one of those unmovable fixtures of the politics of the country, which can be pretty bad

      That Austerity was done in an attempt to lift sanctions. China, Cuba, and Vietnam all had to do it. We still live in a global capitalist system and sanctions make economic development extremely difficult.
      Also the PCV is run by ultras and supports neo-liberal candidate Enrique Marquez. (Which makes no sense ideologically) Many members of the PCV left and formed a new PCV under the umbrella of the PSUV.

    Local groups meeting to discuss what is needed in the neighborhood as described here is similar to the local input in Cuba. I've recently found out that China has a similar system. In the Chinese system one person is voted to the position of seeing the project to successful completion. After one year s/he can stand again for election depending on whether the people of the community agree that a good job was done. This is the meritocracy we hear about & it continues all the way through the various levels of population & complexity from community to village to province, etc.

    • @Leonardosanchezandre
      @Leonardosanchezandre 6 วันที่ผ่านมา
